Nietzsche on death

I initially din’t read much of Nietzsche because people gave me this general image of him being quite a pessimist, but to be honest once I started reading his works, I find that he actually is quite an optimist!

Yes, he really is. I also read somewhere that one of his main concerns were the negative consequences of Schopenhauer’s truly pessimistic writings, so he wrote as to negate this and actually opposes to him his optimistic view on the world. I think Nietzsche is just often misunderstood.
