I’ve never read either of those books, but now I feel inspired to. I fear we are on both paths of disaster in the American society, and I’m sure others as well. I think we already well on our way. I wonder if Huxley was the inspiration to “Idiocracy”? Haha that’s what it reminds me of.

Love this article. We worry and fear way too much as adults about things far beyond our control that take away from the joy and beauty of life. We all need to be fearless and loving…just imagine what the world would be like if everyone was like this. People would actually be happy instead of depressed, stressed out, angry, irritable, etc. I think it’s sad that there are so many people on meds to treat these things. When I was in South Africa, I was amazed by the people there. They lived in shacks with dirt floors where one out of every three people have HIV/AIDS and little to no food, yet they always had a smile on their face and seemed thankful for everything they had. And I live in the US where it seems like most people I know are on some form of antidepressant. Makes you think…

I’m so in. I’ve been pretty consistantly sad the last 2-3 months so I think I need this. I’m going to really put forth an effort on this experiment and I can’t wait to see what happens!
