Body Cleanse

I started a 12 day herbal detox and internal cleansing program today and I wondered if anyone else has had any positive or negative experiences that they wanted to share.

I’m not expecting crazy results like losing 30 lbs, I just wanted to reset my body. I’ve tried the cleanse twice before and never stuck with it 100%. The worst part for me is the sugar cravings. I eat a healthy diet most days but I am a closet sugar junkie. I am in a better mental place this time though and I think I can make it all the way.

I think fasts/cleanses are a great way to recalibrate your body. I’m actually trying to fast just for today. My goal is water, V8, and organic juice blends only. I did a detox once and stuck to it really well. It wasn’t a fast, you could eat but it was all organic and no dairy, gluten, meat (I’m a vegetarian anyway), or refined sugar. And then had a bunch of detox pills and powder mixes I would take throughout the day. I was actually disappointed with mine because I didn’t notice much of a difference, but I’m a very healthy eater anyways so maybe that was why. Who knows. So what is your detox like? Can you eat or are you fasting?

I started this discussion on Body Cleanse, I think this is close to what I said before: I started a 12 day herbal detox and body cleanse today. I am looking to see if anybody has done one and has any positive or negative thoughts they would like to share.

I eat fairly healthy any way, very little meat, lots of fruits and vegetables, and whole grains but my problem is cravings for sweets. I am a closet sugar junkie. I’ve tried the detox twice before but have never been able to stick to it 100%. I’m in a better mind frame to do in now though so hopefully I can stick too it.

@jessica it is twelve days with a restricted diet: fish and organic veggies, some fruits and whole grains like millet, bulgur, quinoa. No meats, sugars, yeast, or processed foods. I have to take 2 of 3 different tablets with breakfast and dinner plus a tincture.

Again, I’m sorry for deleting my original post. Not sure what I did.

And improvement seen over a “cleanse” is probably due to eating better, fasting (if included), and placebo. Anything else is hocus pocus.

Water fasting, coffee is allowed. That’s the way I do it, works awesome. Also, I keep doing my everyday things like working out and such while fasting/cleansing, otherwise the results will be weird. I usually go for two days, but I’ve done both shorter and longer (one week is my record this far.)

@Mikalia If you want a cleanse/detox you shouldn’t eat grains, they ruin it. Nothing clogs your body like grains. They’re pretty much the worst food you could eat during a detox, and bad in general.

@theo Damn right. It’s all scam.

I hope you are talking about squeezed organic juice blends Jessica? Not concentrated ones.
