ignorance is bliss

is being ignorant to the strife, problems and basically all other critical issues a load off your mind?
for example if noone ever found out about the privacy thing, wouldnt everyone have one less box to tick off on society’s or peoples’s minds?

Our education is the only thing that divides us from being mindless drones like in North Korea. Education is what creates progress, and education is what solves problems. If we did not know about this privacy thing then we would not know about this breach of our rights, we would be blind submissive slaves, exploited and used for the purposes of others. For while we do not know about these issues, some other people, those that created it, do. This divide would give advantage to others, because knowledge is power, and if we do not know and someone else does, then we are less powerful and at a disadvantage.
So ignorance in general for all, like in Hobbiton on Lord of the Rings, is ok since everyone is ignorant. However if someone knows something that another does not then they will use it to give themselves an advantage. This could be deadly knowledge or just simple ways to make money by exploiting a whole in the system, this is why education is one of the most important things in the world, and why we make sure that knowledge is there for all, and not just there for those that wish to exploit it.
Ignorance is dangerous.

@legionofthedamned, but those who live in ignorance of it all are not burdened by those issues they do not know, sure someone can take advantage of this but seeing as a person does not know it they technically arent affected by it :)
yes knowledge is and should be a primal importance but along with knowledge also comes the burden of knowing it. :)

Ignorance is bliss, but bliss isn’t everything.

ignorance is always going to be bliss. That does not mean bliss is what we should desire and certainly does not mean that bliss is what we will benefit from.

The people of North Korea are just like us. Don’t matter what the media tells us. Don’t matter what their gov does. We are all the same no matter where we live. We are all souls in this world, all the same, seeking for the truth of ourselves.

TRUE Bliss has nothing to do with bliss as what we think it is.

@aeiouwstd, and Australia is the most blissful country on Earth!

@aeiouwstd, sorry man, but in my opinion ignorance is madness,
most of us in this website are awake or on the way, i think im allowed to say.
it is not easy the path of awakening, but to stay asleep? that is madness, i think it may not be appealing to most people meditating and finding their true self’s, or they just rather live on their lifes without ever knowing.
And the fact that they have no knowledge about the laws of the universe
ohh, just to think about being back to where i was, so many toughs, having the law of attraction working against you.
i think being awake its not easy in the beginning, but after you take a few steps, and really see that you can raise you consciousness, i would never want to go back to being a living dead not really living in the moment and manifesting love and happiness.

Ignorance IS Bliss…..it is it is it is of course it is and how could it not be compared to knowing the “bad” news? Your Mother is dead and you see her dead body and it hurts and and you struggle and hurt and wonder why and what does it mean and it hurts hurts hurts and your not happy OR Your Mother is dead and you don’t know it! That’s Bliss compared to when you find out. It’s a relative thing. ..not a question of deciding “hmmm, should I be ignorant and happy or informed and feel the consequences of what I know?” It’s just an observation of the fact that not knowing or needing to think and worry and accept and be responsible for etc etc …like a young child in it’s mothers arms…is blissful.
