Motivational songs for running/work out.

 Andrej Naňo (@andrejn26) 5 years ago

As the title says I’m looking for songs, that you people listen (if you listen, as I know that many people prefer silence) during running excercise or workout. I’m not looking for pump up, huge bass techno, hiphop or whatever that you find when you search “motivational playlist” on the internet. Actually, I enjoy listening to songs with good, motivational lyrics.. for example Best of You by Foo Fighters (that’s probably the best song to listen while running for me). Any tips ? :) Thanks.

I’d love some motivational exercise-tunes myself. I don’t usually listen to hip hop either, but when I’m working out stuff like this usually does the trick:

Also, non hip hop:

But the lyrics aren’t necessarily very profound I’m afraid. :) And there’s definitely some bass there, I find I need it. Would love some high energy tunes with good lyrics, but seems they’re hard to come by. I’ll check out Foo Fighters as well.

Thank you ! :) I will check it for sure. By saying I’m not looking for hiphop.. I didn’t mean that I don’t like it, I’m just annoyed by that huge bass pounding to your head every half a second..

and i guess after that i listen to a lot of 30 Seconds To Mars for that motivational song stuff, along with the Foos and THe Used… and Rise Against. Sometimes Green Day. I get really nostalgic when i’m working out haahha

Pantera – Cowboys From Hell

The song makes me skip, run, jump, scream, pump, lift, pull, push and sprint harder then I’ve ever performed all those acts before. Yeah, something like that. Hope it tickles your fancy!

@andrejn26, John Butler Trio- Ocean.

Moves like the ocean, gets fast, gets slow, gets soft, gets hard. Perfect for running….it makes you want to run faster at points and then gives you time to slow down.

When people run on the treadmill, the worst thing you can do is run at one pace, keeping your heart rate still the whole time. You should be mixing it up, changing your heart rate, changing your speed. This song is perfect for it. Plus it’s like 10 minutes. Great fucking song too.
