Ok, I am just curious to know the order in which people out there have taken on psychoactives (include whatever you want as part of your list) and also the order that you would recommend taking in order to make each experience a smooth stepping stone to the next. There is a lot of information out there about everything individually but I want to know their relationships and etc.
-You could do a simple ranking method (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
-You could do a scale method (1-10; 5 stars)
-All could use a detailed recount of our involvement
I’ll make a prediction that people will say “you can’t rank these!”
So I can’t rank them, I use them for different purposes.
LSD and Mushrooms… mushrooms seemed more meaningful to me. DMT is very confusing, but I enjoy DMT because its just. I don’t know. I love the smell of it, I love the feel afterwards, I love how far it goes.
Salvia I do not enjoy.
Weed is so multi-purposed. I can use it for anything.
Alcohol is by far my most used, and is also multipurposed. Like I’ve said before, there is nothing like a bottle of wine under the stars.
I will admit I do enjoy ritalin.
Ayahuasca is probably my favorite of them all though, the small dose I had gave me such clarity. All things just seemed ‘right’ and I knew what to do. I’d like to go back there again.
@ijesuschrist, I am perfectly fine with this response and when I was more interested in a perceivable time line based on the effects. I know that everyone’s experiences can be different, I just wanted to know the order their journey went and the order they think a smooth transition throughout the entirety of psychoactives would be
@lytning91, I’ve heard of people having their first psychoactive as DMT. I don’t know how I feel about the progression one would take. I think you should take the harder ones first;
Mushrooms, DMT, ayahuasca, then get the luxury of things like MDMA, mescaline, LSD (kind of).
I think then you respect them first, enjoy them later.
Rather than the other way around, but who am I to say?
@lytning91, Well DMT is so quick and you forget it. It is extremely difficult to build from it, in any constructive way. Its like having the most epic dream of your life, it slowly fades away, and you’re left with little.
Mushrooms changed my entire life – completely. I don’t think the same, I don’t really even talk the same. I wouldn’t have come to this site without my mushroom experience.
The order in which I took them:
5. Ritalin (first amphetamine)
Weed warped me, mushrooms destroyed me, ayahuasca showed me, ritalin boosted me, DMT mystified me, LSD disappointed me (weak dose).
Salvia is in there somewhere. I’d rather not feel like a 5 year old child who forgot his entire previous life, and is in an astral playbox completely constructed by human bodies who know my entire life’s existence and meaning, but would rather hide then tell me anything. Salvia is fucked. Up.
@lytning91, I usually only take about 2-5 hits of the weed and I end up flat on my ass having open eyed hallucinations, I hear voices like they are right next to me. I tried watching surfer dude and I don’t remember anything that happened through the movie but I was so into it and thinking wayyyy deeper than the movie was meant to go. I also smoked two hits of purple haze from a small bong and when I lay down I had the strongest vertigo of my life then I had the craziest rainbow fractals all over my field of vision, then I blacked out for 15 hours without dreaming.
And I took a 3g cap of the mushrooms and it was on par with my high after 2 hits of weed. I think it’s more efficient for me to get a bunch of highs from one gram of weed compared to 3g of mushrooms.
I could be extra sensitive to the weed because I did do mushrooms first. But honestly me and my friends have absolutely no idea why I have such crazy experiences.
@ijesuschrist, thank you for the reply. I don’t think I’ll ever actually go into weed personally. I’ve been around it my entire life and it just never really got my attention. I’m quite curious about DMT, but I don’t want to smoke anything (the concept of combustion to consume is just silly to me) so idk where I’d go from there. I’m SUPER curious about peyote and ayahuasca, namely because people seem to feel like those really approach more of a core spirituality. Anything to say to these statements?
@lytning91, honestly you really can’t generalize… I’ve had weed that I smoked $20 worth and felt nothing, shrooms that just made me slightly giggly and nothing else, weed that I took one hit of and was fucked up beyond reason, and mushrooms that fucked me up SO bad I blacked out and forgot how to speak for 6 hours. It all depends on the strength of the drug you’re taking which, unless it’s a pharmaceutical pill you can research and get the exact milligram dosage of(and even then), is always going to be a gamble to some extent.
I don’t think the order really matters, just start out SMALL and SLOW.
Recommended order of psycho-active drugs based on intensity:
1) Weed (a lot of it)
3) Mushrooms / LSD (interchangeable)
I would not recommend taking Salvia because all four times I’ve taken it have resulted in the extremely unpleasant sensations. Worse than a bad shroom trip, bad.
I’ve only included drugs that expand your mind. Alcohol, cocaine, barbiturates and all of the other chem drugs that are horrible for you don’t get a place on this list.
@biga69, man, if I were you I would just love that it happens that way for you. I have never met ANYONE that has the magnitude of psychoactivity you have from weed. People always say it helps make other PAs more intense, or potent, but this is just completely 180’ed
@jordan, hmmm. Yeah, I read your write-up on Ketamine and I was basically floored. I had gotten a pretty bad impression of it up until your write-up (and I think you mentioned that people give it a really bad rep without just cause). For me, I wanna go more for the things that I can find in nature most, if only those things. For this reason, I feel more hesitant about K and Mescaline.
Another good questions to through in (gonna edit the OP and mention here):
Do you think there’s a better experience found from natural PAs than synthesized ones?
@lytning91, If you smoke marijuana (A LOT) and listen to your favorite music while laying in a dark room, you can have a religious / spiritual experience. Weed is powerful, don’t let its popularity fool you.
Get over the inhalation bias. You can eat weed, and of course, DMT orally is ayahuasca (with an MAOi). But fear / stigma against smoking it, nah.
I to also want to try mescaline, as I hear it is a much more energized, euphoric high. Spiritual, but like a light bit of MDMA mixed in.
Ayahuasca is as far as you get, along with ibogaine, as far as psychedelics go. When you go and come back on ayahuasca there is no limitations to your experience. Dying (spiritually) is common, being reborn is common, talking to God(s) is common, realizing the purpose of life is common, having group experiences is common, feeling tiny in the massiveness of the spiritual plane is common.
My dose was so weak. I felt it coming on and fear got to me, and I puked. I had felt the heart beat of the earth, and the sun began to radiate authority over me. After I puked it felt like it spoke to me and said “ok, you’re not ready, enjoy this” and I had the most beautiful colored streamers, I saw my muscles and bones through my skin, and was able to truth speak continually. I took great joy in my dad’s company later on, and was incredibly interested in every word he said.
Natural versus synthetic:
There will never be a replacement for ayahuasca or ibogaine.
There is drugs called NBoMe’s and derivatives that are so similar, I’ve read full reports on the neurology and the effects to conclude that NBoMe-I (I think is the name) is EXACTLY like taking peyote (natural) and MDMA (not natural).
Neurologically you can design compounds to have nearly the same activity as these natural compounds.
Phytochemically, deriving a substance from a plant – there are thousands of molecules we don’t know that exist in the mix.
@tangledupinplaid21, well if you are disinterested in that method of labeling them, perhaps some more detail about the order you used in would work for you? I gave options knowing that people would not be able to adhere to all of the guidelines (I understand the unique nature of these experiences too). If you do not perceive a natural order of strength, as some do, just list your special order you chose and tell me more about the whole experience.
I’m very interested in hearing what everyone has to say
@lytning91, ya most of the people I talk to just get real calm and happy. One time I had an idea after smoking I went and found my friend who is an active astral traveler and has an extremely open third eye chakra, I went up to him and told him to focus his energy on his third eye, I then put my finger up to his third eye and focused all my energy through my finger. He then jumped back because he said that he had a huge electric shock go straight through his head when I did that. Ever since then I have gone further and further into the highs to the point where I am almost completely astral projected. I have a gram of purple trainwreck at home but I can’t smoke until my piss test at work on Monday, needless to say I can’t wait, and if anything really weird happens I will share it on here.
DMT IS KING. You cannot beat it. There is nothing like it. It is the lubricant of your own soul.
MUSHROOMS are DMT with a side-story, an analogue. They are the most wholesome of the psychedelics that can be used recreationally, and when injected have the effect of DMT.
SALVIA is the most potent psychoactive chemical ever, per weight. A visible speck of it would trip hundreds and hundreds. Lady Salvia is of such a high and ethereal vibration that most humans cannot withstand the intensity of the experience and come out regretting.
CANNIBIS is more potent of a psychedelic per weight than mushrooms but is not of quite so high a vibration. Your body loves it. It can be used everyday in great degrees with only benefits.
In my sentiment, those are the only ones worth intentionally making a part of your life beyond experimentation. They are healthy physically and immensely wholesome spiritually and mentally even when you may feel like you hated your experience. If you do, it wasn’t the molecule’s fault.
@ijesuschrist, OH wow. And we are talking about ayahuasca here? This sounds magnificent. From what I had read this is a plant right? It’s some sort of naturally-occuring item that is blended and drank?
I had never heard about it until coming to this place and reading about all these amazing things, so I’m really unfamiliar with it. Surprisingly, I know a decent amount about everything else that has been mentioned already though, except the more chemically-formed things.
@nightowl, now your fight for salvia is quite uncommon from what I have been reading. Would you mind a little more insight into the depths and bends of it that make it, perhaps, difficult but do-able in your eyes.
@lytning91, ayahuasca, chemically speaking is DMT and a monoamineoxidase-inhibitor (MAOi). DMT by itself isn’t orally active, because your body breaks it down with an enzyme “Monoamineoxidase” if you take an MAOi with DMT it is orally active.
The DMT usually comes from psychotria viridis (in the amazon) or mimosa hostilis (this is where most DMT in the states comes from. The MAOi comes from B. Caapi, a vine in the amazon (or harmala extract if you get it in the states, people use this more often).
The indigenous mix the psychotria viridis and b. caapi in a giant pot, and let it boil for 24 hours, until they get a thick soup. You drink this, and it is very vile, pungent. Like drinking bitter mud. Within 20 minutes you will start to feel light and airy, warm. Then things begin to happen, and your surroundings begin to speak. All things show you their energy, their life. After this… well, anything can happen.
Smoking DMT itself kind of skips the come up, and puts you right at the dieing and being reborn stage (if you smoke it correctly, which seems to be difficult for many).
@nightowl, NBoMe compounds are now more potent than salvia, if I remember correctly.
@lytning91, I have had lots of the others but not Salvia. It became illegal in my state shortly before I became interested. I have done plenty of research on it, chemically and experientially, and my friend Teonanacoatl feeds me intuitions.
A few of my friends have also given me their reports of Salvia. Some if it was just straight-up nuts even as far as I’m concerned.
Lady Salvia is of very high vibration, but of such high vibration that the difference between it and the locally common human vibration is such a great chasm that with most people a volatile mixture of unlike, thus dissonant, energies occurs.
@ijesuschrist WOW! That’s crazy because Salvia is SUPER POTENT per molecule. I know nothing of NBoMe, this is the first time I’ve seen those letters in that order. Nor do I think I’m interested in trying them, since the ancient and fine-tuned processes of nature have not matched them to us, but I’d be curious on good reports of them.
@ijesuschrist, it sounds like this would be perfect for someone who doesn’t enjoy inhaling smoke so I suppose this is what I will be seeking. I don’t know the next time I will be able to get to the Amazon though, lol. I definitely want to get some of this stuff and try it out though. it seems more reliable in affecting oneself than DMT. Like you said, people complain about proper ignition and have biased reports on the effect.
Also, does anyone have anything positive to say about peyote? I’ve yet to hear anything about it, despite having heard about everything ELSE under the sun
@nightowl, hmm. This also intrigues me, but I don’t know how easy it would be able to get ahold of in the states either. I’m in one of the conservative capitals of the world (Florida) so I’m thinking my options are limited. My interest, however, is not
