What was the purpose of human emotions? We have so many and they all have various effects and all feel so different… but why do we have them? I always wondered about that… Lets hear those answers. I’d like to hear the scientific viewpoint and the spiritual viewpoint =)

try and flip it Fleeton. What if we had no emotions then what would be different? I personally believe it is nothing more than our hormones balancing out different levels. If we didn’t have any emotions whatsoever would there be a point to living at all? so much of what we say isnt verbal it’s physical. like talking to a smaller child (that can talk of course) when they dont like something they throw a fit and jump up and down and that is frustration. without emotions they might say ‘Now I am mad’ or just stare at you until you leave the room. so emotions are a , if you will a tempature gauge. make sense? like today inside your mind you are going to think about the woman who cut you off earlier for 2 hours. so all it is, is a gauge to show others and yourself where you stand. Love the question By the way!
