Is it a waste of a high to be high on the internet?
@arenotlost, It’s only a waste if you consider it to be one. The fact that you’re asking if it is waste would suggest that either you think it is, or some part of you is telling you it is. Although if you continue to spend your highs on the internet, you probably don’t really think its a waste. Personally I don’t think so, I think I’ve learned alot while browsing the internet high, and it is comparatively less of waste than video games. But ultimately you have to make the decision yourself, because even if you take someone else’s answer, you are choosing to believe that answer
@liammcfeely, fabulous answer my new friend! Thank you ;-)
For some heady highs the internet seems like a great place to be….although I’d trade the internet in an instant for the warmth, physical, and intimate setting of face-to-face discussion with close friends who I have known for a long time.on a soft couch in front of a big fire….But, alas, I am home alone tonight….so I guess all of you will have to do…Just KIDDING….i LOVE all of you HEthens!
But for hallucinogens—this seems silly, right? I should be out looking at stuff and seeing it morph in front of my eyes, be making contact with other dimension, or travelling through cosmic space…but now I am coming down….I guess I missed it….it does seem like a waste….no regrets though….only forward….
In retrospect now, the day after and I can’t imagine any place I would have rather been then here with all of you. Life is a hallucination. The internet is telepathic cosmic singularity awe. It is all gratitude and appreciation.
@arenotlost, i would say yes, probably. I would also say depends what you are high on. If you are asking for my opinion, and you are high on marijuana, I would advise you to stop smoking marijuana. If you are high on psychedelics, I would say then go do something that feels more engaging, more visceral i guess you could say….more feeling.
@arenotlost, i used to smoke a decent amount, and it made me too comfortable, too ok with blowing off my own life. I started smoking hoping it would break down my inhibitions and make me more creative and insightful, but all I got was baked. Laughing at nothing, eating too much food late at night waking up with a stomachache the next day wondering where weeks went, and overall getting nothing done. I decided to give the weed a pass, and now, i feel that while i’m by no means perfect, my energy level and ability to think clearly have both increased.
But, what works for you may not work for me and vice versa. I’m only offering my point of view. And of course, I don’t think anyone should go to jail for marijuana, or that it should be illegal. Smoke if you want to, but use common sense. Just like the sauce.
