Up here in NNY, we are used to crappy weather in the winter. We receive a lot of snow and we live by a military base so people who don’t usually drive in the snow, really suck and make others who have been doing it their whole lives question their own ability too haha.
It snowed a couple of times so far, just a light dusting of about an inch. It’s been really cold outside the past couple weeks, below freezing. But today it’s around 50 degrees. And instead of snow it’s raining. It is just odd, our weather has been jumping up and down so much its nuts. It makes everyone sick up here too cause we get used to the cold, and then it gets like warm outside.
yup. in my hometown in minnesota it should be around 20 degrees right now, some snow, but someone had all their windows open yesterday and was around 55 or 60 and raining.
Dare I say it, but global climate change?
(Don’t say it in front of Pritii she’ll call blasphemy)
New New York?
England is cold, too. Especially in my kitchen. Just frost so far, mind.
No proper snow yet.
It’s crazy, and significant. I must go see a polar bear in its habitats before they have no more ha.
Northern New York, I don’t like the cold, but I would rather be cold than shriveling up like a raisin in the sun,
New Zealands having a pretty warm summer so far, had a decently cold winter too (in our usual range though i think). Last summer and the winter before though, winter was strangely warm and summer was absolute crap, heaps of rain and it never really warmed up. It felt like similar temps right through both seasons to me.
@cristinelizabeth, it’s strange to see others in different parts of the country experiencing the same climate situation. In Nevada we can still walk out side with barely long sleeves on; and yesterday I just went ice skating out side in a dress. Being winter, obviously, it is not usually this way!
We are witnessing a change in climate…I’m certain. :/
