Box Of Rain by: The Grateful Dead If you never heard it before?? Listen to it on a studio album. American Beauty is the album. The Dead are best LIVE…. BUT, baby steps, baby steps…….
In the lyrics… It’s all a dream we dreamed one afternoon so long ago… About a fathers death. The bass player wrote it after his dad passed… I promise you will like it… and if you do listen? Just write back and i will listen to any song you pick for me
I think it is mostly like this: We all exist in different micro universes, that are interconnected in time and space and it is not that when we die we wake up in our true life, but we are not really or actually existing and when we die we just star living in a different micro cosmos. Daniela Maza, mexico.
This is all blowing my mind. It all sounds so incredibly wonderful. It has created pictures and scenarios of memories in my life. I will never forget the day I saw the full bodied spirit appear out of nowhere. It scared me only for a second then I just stared at this handsome man. He looked at me and kept walking. He knew I saw him. He was very mysterious.
It explains a lot. Have you been to the website The Great Illusion.com? It is worth checking out. Also, Roger Ebert, shortly before he passed away, wrote a not to his wife, where he said this life was an elaborate illusion. And that he had seen heaven, and the past and the future didn’t exist there, and that it was so vast to be unimaginable. Very interesting.
I had that impression after my first Aya trip. It didn’t feel comfortable at first.
We came here for a reason. And I think it would be silly of us to spend too much time on trying to figure out what comes next. All these great teachers talk about the power of NOW and living in the moment. Maybe they are right? :-)
Considering the idea that an intangible soul is speculated to exist in every human by many of the greatest historical geniuses, I believe that there is a great possibility that people merely inhabit a body instead of simply being a body, and the soul does not die with a human. It has to go somewhere else, if it is in fact from another dimension or existence. And what if people are only limited to the limits of their body, and that’s why we can’t come and go from the world as we please. (And it would explain those weird dreams you have when you see moments from the future [known as Deja Vu] and that kind of freaky stuff). Sorry if this is confusing, Im just rambling
If we cant even know what is the “real version of you” imagine to know what is the real version of reality and what separates it from the dream world/vibrational world.
The thing is that most people believe in the solidity of all and do not question, maybe that is the only thing that prevents reality from failling apart.
Dreams within car batteries within simulations within stories within infinite reflections. Turtles all the way down. Personally, I find it difficult to imagine things any other way. I also suspect that we aren’t necessarily stuck in one dream until it ends. If there is a 4th wall, I don’t see why we couldn’t break it, if only momentarily.
What if there is an alien species who set our universe in motion as a simulation of which we are all a part of? What if you are actually dreaming that you are dreaming that you are dreaming and life is a series of infinite awakenings? What if we are all really in the Matrix?
Hi I’m Parsa a soon to be 14 year old boy. So yeah I finished the game of Minecraft and read the poems that the authors wrote. It told that reality is just an illusion and this whole thing is actually a dream maybe we are demons or angels something not normal more powerful than we really are maybe spirits or more that actually have chance to choose their life and not remember any. One thing I know that nothing is a waste of time you can choose the way you live either you can have asuccessful life or the opposite a happy life a sad life a life that you enjoyed either way we are gonna wake up from this dream and move on. The power is within us to choose who we are maybe this isn’t a reality whether we play video games or not whether we dream or not maybe we’re just some characters out of a story to play its role maybe the real us are somewhere else. You may think I’m crazy or wasted or spoiled but I actually cant wait to wake up from this dream and see the truth or the true meaning of this world or to know my purpose. Well that’s it I guess now I got scared to death to write these stuff and probably gonna turn on the whole house lights to not get scared well that’s that and bye. I also get the feeling of something supernatural gonna happen to me and its gonna kill me.
This is a link to a scene from the popular show Rick and Morty. It’s of a game called Roy. A virtual reality game that puts you in the life of a man named Roy. You can live your life however you want to until you die, then it’s game over. After you “die” you come back to “real” life. Morty experiences disorientation for a few moments, wondering “where is my wife?”.
Can we know if this is a simulation like the matrix? Or a dream we are living? Or our lives flashing before our eyes before we die? No. There’s no conclusive proof this is real.
But that’s not what matters. It’s how you perceive it. According to William Isaac Thomas, “If you classify your situation as real, then it’s real in it’s consequences.”
I’m sorry to spoil the party, but when you die, it’s just like an unconscious dream for some time, where things happen but you’re not aware that it’s a dream, then activities begin to fade gradually, until and you fall into a big black nothing. So it’s like a dream…you’re “dying” every night when you go to sleep, it’s just that you’re still connected with your body that brings you back in the morning. The only difference is when you die, there’s no more awakening, dreams continue for some time, and then it all begins to fade away.
How come ? Please spare me of that c r a p. So what ? All dead people are dreaming right? The other thing is when someone is in coma. There are situations where are noted some brain activity so it is possible for that person have dreams, but that person is still alive. Care to explain ?
Yes, all dead people are dreaming, to what extent depends on when they died, and several other factors, but i will repeat – consciousness is not exclusively associated with the brain, and does not reside in brain, i thought that’s clear to everyone. Dead people have dreams, but that doesn’t have much to do with the consciousness, because they are not aware that they’re dead. It’s very low level, like any other nights dream, where you go through tons of situations in chaotic or less chaotic manner, not having a clue that you’re dreaming, and then wake up in the morning. It’s pretty much the same to them, except for the awakening part.
It is still hard for me to believe in it. OK you gave an explanation, I appreciate it. I am a scientist and filmmaker, and as a scientist I work with genetic material on daily basis. I believe in science not some unproven ideas. When you have a solid evidence to show me, a formula whatever ok. For now I do not believe in it.
@hypnotic It sounds like you are telling us this as a fact. Unless you’re dead, how would you know what it feels like to die? Unless there’s proof, everyone has their own opinion or belief.
