What kind of job requires to give a sermon on love??
something i read on here once.
caring isn’t love.
kindness isn’t love.
love is not a feeling, although it stirs up a lot of feelings.
if love was any of those things, there wouldn’t be a separate word for it, let alone a whole concept.
love is just love. it’s as simple as that. it’s the simplest thing.
the moment you try to describe it, you miss the point.
to me, love is walking down a street through the dozens of passerbys, and for a split second, catching a glimpse of an older couple holding hands. and whether or not anyone else notices at the time, the world seems to brighten all around, even for just that moment, and your heart begins to fill. love is feeling the sun kiss your skin on a warm summer day, allowing yourself to connect once again with the vast beauty that surrounds you, inside and out. love is like air in a way. it exists within and outside of you. It fills you up, yet is hard to grasp. and without it, even the smallest amount, it’s almost impossible to function.
@shervin, I remember reading on this website that love is extremely hard to explain, like the feeling between breaths.
I also read somewhere that in Greek mythology Zeus had originally created humans with two heads, four arms, and four legs. But after seeing his creation he decided to split them into two; leaving them searching for their other halves.
