If this was done from the perspective of a jew during the 1940s held up in a concentration camp, and they wrote things down that they despise about the nazis or hilter, what would that last part mean? How would it be a shadow of themselves?
In some sense I can understand where they’re getting at with this because our hatred, or what we choose to express, at times is a reflection of what we’re actually holding onto internally, and then reflecting back onto the world – casting a shadow so to say. But it feels like this would be different for that example scenario I gave.
Would the list they wrote really be a reflection of their internal self, or their environment?
