I definitely should meditate more often my goal for now is at least once a week (seems a lot to me). But I suspect it will develop quickly into more often. :) As of late, I’ve gotten into the groove of exercise, and it feels amazing! A lot of good tips here, thank you so much!
Oh god. This hit me right home. Thank you Jordan! I’ve been struggling a lot with accepting and loving myself. Never had a serious relationship, am an over-achiever and an over-thinker, sabotage myself, never gave myself cred for doing well, put others first to the point where I was seriously depressed, anxious among people etc. And I thought it was starting to get better recently, but then I sort of wavered through this mist of uncertainty. Although I have gotten better at accepting complements. I find I experience self-love when I take care of myself. I haven’t been good at it until recently, I am now taking my own health seriously, and as my health gets better, I feel better about myself. It’s amazing, I feel like I’m coming back to my self. I’m thinking clearer. I’m breathing more deeply, and I am more focused and present and tough and loving. I don’t care what other people think of me anymore. And I’m not scared of what’s out there, cause I know more about what’s in here. :) Thank you for spreading your love, I am eternally grateful. If it hadn’t been for HE I’d still be making excuses. HE has had a huge impact on my life, especially my perception of it. My life quality is also so much better. Thank you!!!
This man manages to voice what I – and probably loads and loads of people – have been feeling intuitively, just couldn’t put it into words or in a scientific context. This is why I love TedTalk. Thank you!
I watch this every day to get off my ass and work it. Such an amazing demonstration of patience, willpower and hope. We all have it in us, so let’s take it to heart. Let’s not feel guilty for not doing enough, but empowered to do enough. We are all awesome.
I’ve been walking away quietly into an empty space for a looong time. But watching this film was a trigger to a change in me. Now I’m looking to walk into the wild. No more empty spaces. May I always have the courage to do what I fear and the wit to let people walk with me.
I agree, it’s excellent. She managed to describe what it is I have been struggling with for a long time as well. And I suspect this is a common issue. I’m working on opening up more often, so as to avoid a total outbreak whenever I’m tired. :) It’s actually human to be flawed and imperfect and of course we all know this in principal (!!!), I never judge others – just myself – I haven’t been consistent with what I mean and what I feel. I haven’t allowed myself to be totally open. And now, thanks to this eloquent woman, I’m starting to see a clear pattern.
I want to work with Art, and I want to work with FREE Art, and I want to work with it in such a way that nature itself could potentially benefit from it. I want to support any environmental cause, eco-friendly or fair-trade whenever I can. Wether it be political art, or art created without the help of technology or comics. If I fail, at least I did what I loved, and I did it without fear or regret. I don’t know how, but this is what I want to do. It is my bliss. I want to reach out and show people the importance of play and imagination, and hopefully grow some open minds. :) I want to share unconditional love with every person I meet. I want to grow as a person. I’ve only just started. And I’m 22. Thank you for the post, and thank you for HE.
