Would love to check this out. Nice find Martijn!

One day I’ll be here.. one day. For now, this year, Lightning In A Bottle will do.
2015-03-15 @ 14:50:49
Pretty crazy this is even happening.. Anyone know how they are doing this legally?
2015-03-14 @ 16:37:54
Yeah he needs Duncan back on.

Awesome! I’ve read Rolf Potts book as well, really good.
Not sure when, but I plan on doing something similar to what you did here. How did you execute this? Sorry if you wrote this and I missed it.
2015-02-27 @ 17:01:53
And this is why I love Reddit.
2015-02-20 @ 04:04:16
This is the next step in our human conscious evolution. You can see the nodes of awakening blossoming throughout the planet. This is the shift. Look within.
2015-01-13 @ 02:37:31
Awesome! I plan on doing something sort of the same in Thailand next Winter but I don’t think as “spiritual”.
Envision looks transformative! That has definitely been added to the festival dream-list.

2015-01-13 @ 01:56:52
One of the best TED talks I’ve seen in a while. A life-saving and potentially global shifting talk.
2015-01-12 @ 15:51:18
Definitely rings true for me. It’s almost like our brains are little antennas and when we quiet down the bullshit, something beautiful can come in.
2015-01-12 @ 15:49:31
I couldn’t help but burst out laughing at his “chanting”. Also, no one went and comforted the girl crying? I’m not upset but I find it strange. Seems to me this retreat is taking life and meditation a wee bit too seriously. We are not encapsulated in ourselves, we are each other. If someone is crying, it is natural to comfort others and to be comforted.
I don’t think their is any “method” to meditation that is the “best”. People tend to think of meditation, myself included, that you sort of “hone in” on it. When in fact, it is exactly the opposite.
I liked this article. Shows somewhat of a new light on it. Good stuff!
2014-12-27 @ 18:55:55
Definitely. Saw it a bit ago. Trying to show it to as many people as possible.
2014-12-08 @ 15:43:56
Were there hallucinations involved, euphoria at any point, basically anything like a typical psychedelic experience? Sounds interesting, not sure if I would give it a go or not.
2014-12-08 @ 15:41:16
Chad is the man! Seen him a bunch live here in Seattle.
2014-12-05 @ 02:45:22
Saving this, thank you.
2014-12-05 @ 02:44:18
This is absolutely ridiculous how there was no trial, no nothing. What do we do? How do we help this? Better training? Maybe, but I think this is something much deeper..
2014-12-01 @ 02:03:38
Seriously? Wow, very brave of you. Something like that, where hurting of the body is involved makes me very… weary. How was it?
2014-11-24 @ 16:29:22
Reminds me of Alan Watts speaking of nothingness. Eventually, everything we’ve thought, loved, felt, experienced, believed in, whatever, will be gone; it will all be nothing. Some might find this scary, that they and everyone they know will die, along with the current value systems and others in place today…but what is more peaceful than nothing? Nothing I suppose.. ;)
2014-11-24 @ 16:26:12
That was beautiful, thanks.
It’s weird, I feel as if collectively people experience these sort of feelings around the same time. My brother and I were both talking about having this profound, mind-boggling realization that everyone in the world has their own little universe, own little story, along with our own, creating what we call the human experience. I then go on the internet a few days later and see it on Reddit and a bunch of people talking about how they have been thinking the same way lately.. Coincidence, maybe. But whatever it is, it’s pretty incredible.
2014-11-22 @ 17:07:54
“Have you ever noticed how, um, there’s this quality to reality, which comes and goes and kind of, ebbs and flows? And nobody ever mentions it, or has a name for it… And so what I noticed was that, running through reality is the ebb and flow of novelty. And some days, and some years, and some centuries are very novel indeed. And some ain’t. And they come and go on all scales, differently, interweaving, resonantly. And this is what time seems to be.” – Terence McKenna

Definitely going to start integrating “down with the extremes”. Balance is key.

2013-07-21 @ 11:18:22
Fantastic post! I always go in with an intent to go deeper within myself, but never really focusing too much on self-improvement. Usually, my trip just leads me there anyways. Next time I will focus on it as in this time of my life I really do need it.
2013-07-19 @ 20:46:16
Really well done! I sound exactly like how you were. I am going to implement this into my life. Thanks :)
2013-07-06 @ 18:00:51
Highly recommend if you’ve ever been anxious or nervous (aka everyone).

2013-06-26 @ 00:25:05

Seriously. Watch this. Skip the first few minutes if you have to. He’s not very good at satire.
2013-05-23 @ 14:27:20
Good and bad are both subjective. Your good could be my bad. Therefore, anything can be considered “good”.
2013-05-15 @ 12:35:20
Just notice that it is there. Once you notice it you will be in control. It will then be your choice with what to do with it.

Go watch this! So good.
2012-09-17 @ 11:13:16
Awesome! So how exactly do we perform his technique? Is it simply mindful meditation but with a spin on it? Do you hold your breath for as long as possible, taking very long breathes, and focus on your heart, trying to control it or something?
2012-09-16 @ 13:33:49
I was going to write an article about this. I wrote it pretty quickly and then didn’t look at it again. I think I’ll have another go at it.
2012-09-12 @ 23:12:12
This is trippy. I just had déjà vu earlier today followed by a very psychedelic meditation session. Almost shroom worthy.
Did you have déjà vu today too? Or anyone else? Cus’ that would be fucking mind blowing haha.

2012-07-13 @ 17:48:29
Read some reviews on it and it sounds interesting to say the least. I might have to check that one out too.
2012-07-13 @ 17:26:17
Indeed, but killing in general, especially for something as silly as a piece of paper (money), is ridiculous. We live in a beautiful world and the only enemy is ourselves. Wake the FUCK up people.
Not directed at you Sean, by any means.

I was once addicted to video games. Open his eyes to the wonder and vastness of the universe(s) he is within.

Going to do this this week. Wait…how about for my life? Sounds pretty good to me.

Love this guy. Reminds of myself when I get on an inspired rant in the middle of a shroom session.

2012-06-15 @ 00:45:01
As am I :)
2012-06-13 @ 23:42:58
I would just like to say, every hour that goes by, I am getting more and more excited about this.
2012-06-13 @ 12:54:01
@jordan, Best idea so far I’ve heard on how to change the world. Not sure if it will work, but I have hope in humanity and this project. And yes, indeed I am ready.
For the people who won’t be in the beginning stages of this project should be out spreading the word of the corruption of the governments, the way money is produced (money=debt=slavery), and how we all need to wake up. This can be through stencil artwork/graffiti and/or simply talking to people in an elevator. We should find out what the best way to go about informing people in public would be. Some sort of way to spark up a conversation related to the topic that everyone can relate to and would make them want to learn more…

More and more information keeps coming up making my idea of this universe being just one cell in an organism.
2012-06-04 @ 20:15:40
I’ve been thinking about this exact thing a lot lately. I’ve been trying my best to talk to strangers and try to spark a small friendship with almost everyone. This is what needs to be done. Everyone is fearful of each other and that fear is driven from the fear of the unknown, i.e. what will they say, what if they don’t like me, etc. etc. With the help of meditation, psychedelics, and mainly out right positive thinking, this can and will be achieved. We can do this. If I can, anyone can.
2012-05-29 @ 13:01:25
I would give it a go but I am far too skinny as it is.

Is it possible to fall out of enlightenment? For a few months I would say I was enlightened and I actually remember making a conscious decision to stop this outlook on life to test out something that would require the mindset of an average individual. Not sure if I was truly “enlightened” but I definitely had a constant guru, everything is fucking awesome outlook on life.
2012-05-17 @ 18:01:16
Beautiful, thank you.
2012-05-07 @ 19:29:44
Brilliant article Martijn! I really needed this today. I struggled with depression last year and instead of turning to “modern medicine”, I turned to myself. I am radically different than I was two years ago and couldn’t be happier with life. Every now and then I need to remind myself that I am on the right track due to this societal “norm”.

How so? Astral projection and other OBE’s are quite real, so do you mean what she said was fake or astral projections are?

Perfect timing. I recently started getting into Alan Watts and this was a great kick off.
Also, it has been a very stressful day for me and these videos helped, so thanks.
2012-03-20 @ 16:07:25
I was beginning to lose hope for this open-source, free world idea, but this article and the one you posted on facebook (http://www.realitysandwich.com/answer_henry_baum) have really shed some light and given me some hope.
2012-02-25 @ 01:17:34
I’ve experienced visuals while listening to music many times, very cool stuff.
Great write up here. Going to start working on my mindfulness due to this one, thanks.

I experience intense deja vu ever so often. Except every time I have it I believe I have dreamt it before…weird shit
2011-09-01 @ 17:03:35
The Fountain, Cashback, Enter the Void, The Big Lebowski, and Waking Life are great movies.
Also Donnie Darko is one of my favorites. If you haven’t seen it, watch it.
