I love here reason for starting on a smaller dose, that you don’t want to get a bad taste in your mouth and have it put you off. If I had cancer and eating dog shit was a widely regarded cure/medicine I would be out in my back garden straight away chowing down on some faeces.
Though that’s pretty cool. I’d like to know how credible this is.

Great list, though I was a little disappointed as I’ve seen nearly all of them… A few suggestions though:
Any Paul Thomas Anderson [myfavourite director making films now] films (the guy who made punch drunk love and magnolia and boogie nights), my favourites being There Will Be Blood and Hard Eight (Sydney; depending on where you live)
All Coen brothers (the big lebow), A Serious Man, No Country for Old Men and Fargo among my favourites
All Wes Anderson (Royal Tennenbaums, moonrise kingdom)
All Terry Gilliam ( The Holy Grail, Fisher king, Fear and Loathing, Tideland etc.)
Most David Lynch ( mullholland drive), lost highway and eraserhead are a good place to start
I will say film makers such as Francis Ford Coppolla and Stanley Kubrick but they go without saying.
Still nice to see someone who appreciates fine cinema these days. Sick of having Christopher Nolan rammed down your troath every where you go, horribly overrated.
