Controlling the people with drugs is an interesting concept, but I don’t believe it can be put into practice on a global scale. At least, not within the next 50 years… After that, the new generation might be an easier target, but still, on a global scale is hard to imagine. How could people be made to take these “happy pills” willingly? This will give me something to think about, thanks for the post :)

I can definitely say that working nights and sleeping during the day for the past 10 months has altered me noticeably. Is it at all possible for a person to fully adapt and live a healthy lifestyle doing this? I’m curious.

Some great reminders to the rest of us who can still make a positive change to our lives :)

That’s the truth!
I rarely ever check the news. Since I was a little kid and watched the news just once with my parents (I was scared shitless), I have not watched it on TV, and read very little from papers or online. People often talk about the news, and are surprised when I have no idea what they’re talking about, “But it was in the news!”
If I want to know more about who to vote for in elections, I research info specifically on the parties and people to make my decision. But I’m Canadian, the system is a bit different, although we’re also becoming a corporate dictatorship, if we’re not one already.

For a long time now I have desired the ability/knowledge to make a change in the world to bring more real happiness to people. I’ve felt alone and futile, your posts caught my attention immediately, this is absolutely wonderful to read! I hope I can participate in the shaping of this community somehow, even if I cannot physically be there when you plan on it becoming active. I’m tied down with student loan debts I need to clear, but I hope someday that I can join in with this community. I have an excellent green thumb and carpentry/joinery to add as skills, as well as a strong desire to live in a community like yours. I’ve studied the construction of earthships, cobb houses, all types, you wouldn’t believe how much I’ve wanted this to happen!

Superb! I’m digging it :)

When you’re only drinking juice, you probably don’t really need much fibre as you’re only consuming liquids and they move through you even without fibre being present, so the small amount found in the juices is plenty.

I was a cashier for 2 years, I know it can be very onerous, and some people just don’t want to talk, but a smile and sincerity go a long way. Don’t forget to live in the moment and love it no matter where you are, people will see it and it will brighten everyone’s day just that little bit.
Or go out there and get a more inspiring job :)

I have a brother who is addicted to world of warcraft, I recently moved in with him hoping I could pull him out, but I can’t seem to do anything. If you know how to get a serious addict like this to stop, I’d appreciate any advice!

This is the truth. And so weird that every time you write an article, it pertains exactly to something that was bothering me just the day before. Well timed once again, and I can’t wait to read the next parts :)

By the way, this is exactly what I needed to read right now, it’s high time I did a detox! Thanks for the awesome timing once again :)

I was a 100% raw food eater for a 6 month period about 3 years ago, it has a similar effect on the body though maybe not quite as instant, and I also did a lot of juicing. Now I drink a tablespoon of concentrated freeze dried young barley plant mixed into water every morning the results of which are evident in my energy levels and the rate of growth of my hair and nails, to state the more obvious things that I’m able to witness. I highly recommend supplementing with juices! And to change a diet completely, the best way is to start with a fast, and to chuck out anything that isn’t part of your new way of eating.
I’m interested to know what kind of fruits and vegetables you used and how you mixed them, I find it hard to make them taste good…

Interesting, and by this do you mean that a person can decide or “will” their lives in a certain direction? To cause their life to be happy and problem free simply through will? I do believe in this, though the way I do it is not through a great deal of mental effort, just gentle nudges. Though I do not believe it to be enlightenment, it certainly is enlightening. As are long hot colourful baths.

I scrolled to the bottom immediately after reading that part to see who made comments on it :D

There are many ways to do this, and if you’re a person who has difficulty accepting it, try to explore meditation as an option. The most recent post was about Vipassana, a type of meditation that also encompasses the move from self to unself. It’s a challenging, intense, and hugely rewarding 10 days :)
