Edit: people *inside* the demographics holding cultural hierarchy etc

This is one of the most loudly overdramatic, self-victimizing, and even insular things that I have ever read.
You have to be pretty snug&smug in your cozy life for something like so-called “cancel culture” emerging from the “free marketplace of ideas” to feel like such a threat to you, and to say the least it sure seems to say something about you that people’s courage to respond critically to openly crappy behavior feels like being personally attacked.
What is called “cancel culture” has always appeared to me to be fair turnaround – people outside of the demographics holding on to cultural hierarchy have always used “cancelling” to stifle political discourse out of the narrow status quo norm, marginalized groups that dared to speak up boldly, etc.
In short, grow up, and when you get there try not to be a POS. You’ll be fine.

Good is good, but this still does make me sorta sad panda.

“Once you get the message, hang up the phone.” I never liked that statement very much, and it’s not because I blanketedly advocate repetitive/abusive use of psychedelics. I don’t like it because it asserts that we can determine what “the message” is and when we’ve “gotten” it.
There is no limits to what psychedelics can teach. Think kind of caution is self-limiting.

I particularly love the statement of waking up from the disillusioned attention to dualistic language and facing the world directly.
A post of mine here on HE a while ago was about just this, providing some main examples of perceptive dualisms and their language roots. http://www.highexistence.com/topic/emerge-from-the-chrysalis-of-dualistic-mindsetas-a-metamorphosed-intelligence/

Very nice, Martijn. Thank you! This is pretty much perfect for this. Looking forward to the rest – I wonder what you’ll select for your articles as this could extend so widely these days…

I’m not so sure. Do you know which dandruff commercial?
Doesn’t seem to me like the networks would crossfade their video over prior broadcast.

The question of the maker of this photo being a science-hater is up for discussion, but he/she is most definitely a spelling hater.

Good to know other countries are showing it how it really is.

This article is good. I stopped watching all television long ago, this is one major reason.
The other is commercials for many of the same reasons. Commercials repulse me.
@oggy sorry but you’re stuck in dualisms.
There’s no “good vs evil”, you misunderstand what all this existence IS.
Don’t vote democrat… Don’t vote at all!
We shouldn’t be voting FOR democracy… we should be voting WITHIN democracy!
THE U.S. IS NOT A DEMOCRACY. People think it is but it’s not. “Representative republic” at best but unfortunately other terms have come to fit even better…

Oh my god this is so bad. Please, nobody else waste your time watching this.
