To answer: Possessions. Give up relationships (I feel so disconnected). Then you go on implying that I have chosen relationships. So that kinda confused me, but either way your points for the possessions>relationships mentality is solid.

I’m currently working at a grocery market being a cashier. And all the faces are just a blur, its all this small talk with the same exact responses each time, its so impersonal. The interactions with hundreds of people that I am disinterested, detached, disengaged with makes my mind numb.
