I just started reading the “woman” section and I was CERTAIN it was Jordan that wrote the article. Lol

How come there are 2 Coen Brothers movies in this list and no Ridley Scott?
For real fans of Vampire movies, “let the right one in” is definitely not the best. Can’t even compare with the artistic and historical value of Nosferatu (1922). From new vampire movies, I love Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola and Interview with the Vampire, but I know those are appealing for fans of the genre :) . I actually don’t understand what is all this hype about “let the right one in”… I find it boring and uninspiring.
From this list I LOVE and totally agree about: 12 Angry men, Snatch, Midnight in Paris and The Big Labowski.
I just must add to the list:
BLADE RUNNER. Makes you think about things you probably never thought before.
CITY OF GOD. It looks like a fiction, but it’s about reality! Really well done!
DRAG ME TO HELL. I consider one of the best, coolest and extremely scary horror movies I ever watched!

I totally agree!
I just think there are a minority of people that like to play the roles in the opposite ways… some men like being dominated and some women like to dominate the relationship. I think everybody deserves respect in their choice.

I don’t think Western society is as chauvinist as you mention. For example, when you about the super hero movies, it’s obvious that the female character will be always a prize and side role, because this films are mostly made for men! lol In films essentially made for women the male character is also a side role and a prize! Exp. Sex and the City, Bridesmaid, Bridget Jones Diary, Titanic, etc.
I wonder if people will start to notice that women and men are not the same, but being stupid and shallow has nothing to do with being a woman… And taking care of yourself has nothing to do with being a sexual object.
I am a woman, I like wearing make up, taking care of my hair and health, watch chick flicks, wearing high heels, and all this other cliche female things. I want my boyfriend to be always the head of the relationship, to be stronger than me, pay the bills in the restaurant, etc. Does that make me stupid?
I think it’s a part to be intelligent appreciating who you are. I love Marilyn Monroe and her quote: “I’m a woman and I enjoy!” … That’s it!
I don’t want to be like a man… I don’t want to have a position in the army, wear short hair, play football or rugby, learn martial arts, etc. I don’t think this makes anyone superior! I think it’s important to respect all women that want all of that, as much as important to respect the women like me: that like being feminine!
There were thousands of years of human existence, which developed such ways in society… Men as the head and women that loving and caring side of the pair. Then suddenly people decided that this is all wrong? It makes no sense!
In the end, it’s a fact that the majority of men are better with strength and calculation, but women are much better with communication and entertainment. There is importance in both sides and there is no reason for women to wish being like men.

I believe the law of attraction because I live it on daily basis.
It’s a long, long story! I’m not sure if I want to put up such personal parts of my life, but a few examples…
I always dreamed of getting out of my country. I registered for a passport without any idea of where I was going, but with the dream of going to London. When I collected it, the woman asked me “where are you going?”… I answered “London” (without any ticket or money to buy it!)
One year later I was in London. I lived there for almost 3 years. (this was before knowing the law of attraction… I was always the dreamy positive person and I used to look out of the window and dream about being in London)
Second thing… I remember after having so much trouble relationships with wrong guys, I stopped in front of my mirror and I said “why don’t I just find someone normal like me? someone that doesn’t play games? someone that will always be there at all times? Someone positive and good.” I pictured exactly the man I wanted and a few months later I met him and we’ve been together already for 3 years and half… and on Sunday one year marriage anniversary. :)
There is much, much more! About my job also…
Believe me… We just have to desire from the deep of our pure hearts.
My theory is that God is just a great fount of love and happiness that surrounds the whole universe and he wants to give us everything that will make us happy and pleased! But this energy is not human and doesn’t understand human mentality… God is too pure to understand our material existence and our words. He (God is energy not a man or a woman, I just say he because “it” would be disrespectful) only understands our energy: what do you picture in your head, your feelings and what you transmit.
The feelings of doubt and fear are both negative… they won’t bring anything good.

I think this post is not so positive like many others in this website.
As it has been said here in other posts, it’s all a matter perspective, and this is a negative perspective about conventional work.
I also don’t like routine and I don’t want to stay in a conventional job, but I believe the vast majority of people out there like the safety and routine of a “common” profession. There is a place for everyone in this world and all of them deserve respect.
Surely when a parents want to force a young to find a “normal” job, then it’s not cool, because for creative and adventurous people for example it’s really hard to follow the conventional ways.
