“A New Earth” has probably the best explanation of the ego that I’ve ever read

I’ve read so many great books so 5 is a tough one…but here goes…in no particular order (these are among my favorite authors anyway)

“Conversations With God (Trilogy)” Neale Donald Walsch

    “Journey of Souls” Michael Newton

“Ask and It Is Given” Esther Hicks (Abraham)

“Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth” Dolores Cannon

“The Power of Now” Eckhart Tolle

Great in theory, but not practical – imagine being a factory assembler and taking a break every 25 minutes to meditate for 5. Would never fly in today’s working world. That’s 1/6 of the work day ‘wasted’ – time is money.

The only way you could justify this is if the work being done for those 25 minutes is more effective enough then working straight for say 4 hours. So essentially, 3 hours and 20 minutes with 5 minute breaks would have to produce more output than 4 hours straight.

I can see my manager now passing by my desk while I sit there doing nothing for 5 minutes…

This type of working mentality would have to be thoroughly tested and slowly implemented to see if it works in a modern fast-paced western society and working world. Don’t get me wrong here – I’m all for it if it does, but it would certainly take a radical new approach to efficiency and maximum output, and at this current time, I don’t see it happening any time soon.

I’ve seen a few of these, but many I’ve never heard of…will have to check some of them out for sure.

I’d like to add a movie that happens to be one of the best Western movies you’ve probably never seen –

    “McCabe and Mrs Miller”

With Warren Beatty & Julie Christie – 89% Rotten Tomatoes rating

If you like a great story and phenomenal scenery/atmosphere, then you will love this movie!
