Great list, martijn. I’ve seen a few of these that I really loved. I saw Die Welle on Netflix and I loved it. Any idea if any of the others from your list are on netflix?

I really enjoyed how you wrote this!

I think you should further emphasize to be conscious of what you are eating, rather than tell people to stop dieting. I like to think about how what I am putting in my body will impact me- such as, will this sugar give me an energy crash? I also like to experiment and see how a quinoa and kidney bean burger will impact my body compared to a real cheeseburger.

I have been telling some of my friends about this amazing idea, because I have been dreaming of something like this. The one question that they always ask is once this is replicated, how would a place like this deal with laziness? would they get less of the community’s food? would they get banished to live back in the cities?

I think it would be cool if we could change back into a bartering society. I saw a video somewhere, probably on this site, where a woman created a website, similar to Craigslist, where people exchanged services for other services.

I think modern medicine sucks. They try and come up with a pill for everything rather than talking to the individual and figuring out where the problems stem from. Society loves to put a label on everything and give a pill for it. I think psychologists should sit down and talk with the individual and help them solve their problems, rather than sweet talking them into feeling “ok”. People today need hope and to feel loved in a society where it is hard to find oneself and fit in at the same time. I also think our modern generation is learning that fame, popularity and money can’t bring them happiness, in the way it was taught to previous generations.

I thought tropic thunder was terrible other than when jack black was tied up to the tree and any parts with tom cruise. Other than that I really like the list especially with 13 assassins, that movie was badass! Also I think you should look into Battle Royale and Oldboy. Both are great Japanese movies!
