Gotta give credit to Jordan for following his imagination and making this place possible. But perhaps a parting suggestion would be to follow through on your dreams further. Your projects feel like they barely launch off the ground before you withdraw your oversight and then they just coast along without any thrust. Truth is Jordan left this place in 2011 when he shifted focus to Valhalla, and never turned attention back. Just so happened to coincide with the decline of the community. Then I see videos of Valhalla construction where you appear too busy to get fully involved because you’re already designing RaveNectar. And so on.

I feel like each of these projects could have been breakthroughs for their respective industries, but they fizzle out as one of a thousand other rushed replicas of a dream. At this point it seems like you’re trying to capitalize more on the excitement of an idea rather than the idea itself. I’ve wanted to get involved with all these projects but kinda fear winding up like Martijn with a half-heated meal on my plate.

Sorry for the sour grapes but that’s all you get when you don’t wait for ripeness.

Interesting. @martijn I’m curious what your opinion is of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_u0reE6bjI

It’s sarcastic and a bit exaggerated but it does bring up some valid points IMO about Ayahuasca and the way we’re using it outside the jungle. Do you think there’s a wrong way to organize and engage in these plant medicines?

I guarantee you can’t know how it truly feels to be homeless or dependent just by acting it for a day. At the same time, you can still practice the humility and courage that a homeless person is forced to go through every day, in your own way, honestly. IMO the author has a lot to learn about life and these kinds of stunts are insulting to people who’ve authentically experienced homelessness and matured from it. The story was well written, but it might as well have been fiction – was so fake.

That’s a really impressive transformation. Can’t say that I know personally what it would feel like. But I think this video gives the wrong message. Something about how you performed this makes me think you’re not doing it for yourself as much as for other people. Is that misplaced reason not the cause of your continued emotional suffering? The smirking while sobbing and eye-rubbing makes it seem like such an act. I don’t understand the motive to manipulating people’s perception into thinking you’re a victim of anyone else but yourself. Sorry if I’m completely off-base; just my impression of the video – your physique is admirable though.

#3 reminds me – why does HE support ads from luminosity and more recently happify? Seeing people profit off people’s insecurities alongside legitimate discussions of growth is demeaning. Commercializing happiness just further distances and distorts it. I don’t see how it has any better value than advertising call of duty or another stimulating, time consuming game.

Yea, that was really messed up… so clearly wrong on video. I’ve heard they did indict someone tho… the bystander taking the video! Idk what to say after that… no surprise people are protesting the streets.

I thought this video was pretty cool the first time I saw it, but discovered with some research that the tribe had been visited several times before. I now think some of it was staged. But very cool video nonetheless. Would love to visit a tribe like that myself.

WOW I’ve been in that exact situation in the midwest too. Walking down the city block with a hood up being tailed by a squad car. Look back, and the lights go off. Total fucking profiling, ridiculous! Was patted down and ‘detained’ for almost an hour in the back of the car. Never got an explanation why or what for, just harassed and verbally abused.

yay i like ron paul. That’s the sad truth though these days. If you threaten government in any way, free speech goes out the window for the sake of their sketchy ‘terrorism’ defense. But they haven’t stopped anything by firing this guy. It just shows which shows are the ones censoring their content and should be avoided. Plenty of other free-speaking media outlets to choose from.

What is time but a measurement of degrees that we’ve revolved around the sun. There’s different rates of time for the different planetary bodies; my 88th birthday is coming up on Mercury:
    http://www.exploratorium.edu/ronh/age/

We’ve definitely tuned our circadian rhythms to the speed of Earth, but once you leave orbit I’m not really sure what time is supposed to mean to us biologically. I guess that’s what Einstein was trying to do, unify all the different cycles in the cosmos under 1 universal speed; but yea, i don’t really understand the significance yet or how we could put it to use.

What’s the deal with this company? I shit my pants over this video a year ago and last week just tried digging for updates. I couldn’t find any and their website only has 1 announced investor. From what I gathered they just have flexible silicon and the idea of combining it with nano solar cells, but haven’t even built a prototype yet. The video is so exciting, but besides the part where he holds his hands together, the tech may as well not exist yet :(

Hopefully they have more unannounced funding and progress.

Duuude these are all so fucking good! I love how colorful they are, it mind boggles me. I think watching you create something like this would be as beautiful as the end result.

How do you make them? This one looks like paint and some of the other really colorful ones appear to be in marker. What kind of paper do you work on? The texture looks canvas-like, but I’m a huge art noob. I would love to have one of your paintings on a nice, box-frame canvas to hang on my wall, though! Are any for sale?

You are so beautiful! I watched your first journal log and a few of your dance videos too. I think it’s really cool what you’re doing–sharing your deepest beliefs and fears. You are very brave, I’ve never met anyone as open as you. I’ve had some of the same thoughts as you and it’s cool to hear you speak about observing and learning from them. Keep it up! :)

Also you have great taste in music and react in such an interesting way through your dance moves.

I too have been fascinated with the death of the ego since first reading about DMT experiences several months ago. I unfortunately know no shamans to learn from, but your account of the experience was very thorough and included a lot of information about the rituals involved.

I like the idea of pleasure coming within, and simply reading the list of what the shaman believed to be external pleasure sources helped me realize some of mine. Do you think following the diet and having a shaman present play necessary roles in the experience? I will not have either of these advantages. I want to vaporize some DMT in a volcano vaporizer. My experience vaporizing marijuana has always been significantly more potent and efficient compared to smoking it. I’m excited to have the privilege of experiencing DMT this way, but fear my spirit may have a more difficult time.
