You have to give yourself some time to get used to meditating. It’s not unlike any other skill, meaning, that you have to practice it over and over again to make it work.

Start with short sessions of around 3-5 minutes and when you can focus for more than, let’s say, 30 seconds, increase the duration of your meditation.

Don’t rush, don’t force yourself into it. Let go. :)
