It’s not more correct. It’s just where I first encountered it and it started to click for me, so I agree the same progression is everywhere.

I agree his presentation is cryptic and the translation is even completely mistaken at one point which took me 2 years to figure out that he didn’t mean to have some paradoxical contradiction in what he said, the transcriber (Carlos Casteneda) just wrote the orders of the words wrong. This is when he says, “If the man yields to this make-believe power, he has succumbed to his second enemy and will be patient when he should rush.” This makes absolutely no sense and he directly contradicts it later, it should say, “he will be rush when he should be patient.”

Save yourself the trouble I went through to learn this fellas lol.

Don Juan was a Shaman in the southwest united states and he was a heavy user of psychedelic drugs especially peyote, so cut him a little slack. All those trips to the astral plane carry a toll you know.

If you know of a more clear way it has been stated please share.

This impossibly long path idea is interesting, though I can’t really say I can relate too the desire to be on that kind of a path myself.

During this whole thread I have been going back and forth as whether I consider many of you drifters with an indefinite aim simply trying to entertain your minds, wanderers who are actively seeking your purpose but have yet to find it, or cultivators who have found your purpose and are actively seeking to fulfill it.

I think there is a mix, but I’d be curious if anyone is certain they lie in one of the three categories.
