@Megan I really like your last sentence, but it confuses me for some reason. I like it when people point out that Im an idiot, in fact, I count on it. I like the feeling of moving on from things, and the internet has always been a useful tool to me in this respect.

I think, though, that this mentality of immediate gratification might push more relevant threads to the back-burner while more trivial threads survive because of the perpetuation of silly ego-drama. However its painted, I just cannot see the value in immediate gratification. Yes, many things are simple and should be left that way, but I find that delayed gratification is still a tool that should be more utilized in the process of growing in the manner we at HE claim to pursue.
