@stereofidelic, So, I’m gonna be honest, I don’t have the best advice for you, but I figured I’d share something. Don’t go to school. Take little steps in the direction you want to head, and before you know it, you will be doing what you love. Check this out http://earthship.com/internships I would not recommend studying architecture in school, as I don’t think you will end up doing what you love if you do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOaYSGHAEnQ
edit: The main purpose of going to school (as far as I can see) is that you have the opportunity to meet like-minded people. But is it really worth paying that much just to meet people? I think you will actually gain more skills through trying to meet like-minded people outside of school (and it will be more of an adventure). All of the information you can learn there is available for free somewhere and a degree is only useful if you want to get a boring job as far as I can see with what you are interested in. Just my opinion though, and I’m sure others will say school is a good idea.
