We will only submit to extreme precautions when we are pushed to extreme measures. To put it simply, the harm that we’re undergoing is not serious enough to commit to any resolution. If you’re talking harm as in emission of hazardous chemicals into the environment, this will continue as long as it doesn’t pose a super serious threat. If you mean over consumption then within an environment an organism will use all the resources it can until there is none left and it dies. This is life. Another problem which perplexes me more than anything on earth is the issue of plastic. The amount of plastic we make, chemicals we dump, and trash that is spread everywhere on the planet… I have this feeling that this is not a problem. That this is nature. That humans are meant to destroy ourselves to make way for the new species of this planet. A new organism that is made somehow out of plastic. Maybe a machine. I think this the reason humans do what we do.
