@monkeyzazu – The point is so that the government can be in control. They want us to depend on them.

@spiraltouch , how is it fair that “if you earn a certain amount of money you pay a sum and when you earn more you pay more” HOW is that fair? lol

I’m a middle-class American, I live simple, I don’t have the latest phone, I grow most of my own fruits and veggies, I do things for myself, etc., etc. and if my next door neighbor was like “hey, I’m having a tough time financially and I can’t afford my health insurance.” Yes, I would do whatever I could to help them but I do not like the idea that I will basically be paying my hard earned money into a system that helps people I don’t even know (and a consensus would say the majority of these people are lazyf*cks sitting on their couch collecting welfare checks) when I could be helping my own family, friends, and community that are struggling. I also don’t agree that just because someone is wealthy and makes well over 50% of what most American’s make that they should have to share their cash. That’s ridiculous. EDIT** I don’t mind paying extra taxes to help others get medical care but since I work and do my own thing, I should be given the opportunity to choose my own insurance. Not be forced to have terrible healthcare. If you want to know what your “obamacare” healthcare will be like ask a US Veteran that goes to the VA.
