@jdavey23, when i was working last, it was like $20 out of every paycheck. This will be like $100 a month…if I can’t get coverage through a job, then it will have to come from somewhere – food which will negatively affect my physical health and then mental, enjoyment or savings which will affect my mental health and eventually my physical as well. I see what you mean, we don’t know what the future could bring. But when you are making less than $1K per week, an additional bill of $100 is really bad. At that point, you can pretty much forget about having any kind of fun at all, investing in anything, going back to school or any kind of paid lesson , or saving. You can forget about buying anything other than gas and food. You are just screwed, a slave in all but name. How do you get out of the gutter then? You can’t go to school. You can’t get a better-paying job, if there is nothing you are qualified for. You don’t have money to invest in your own skills or in any business you may think of. Obama seems to be doing a fine job of making sure those who are poor, stay poor.
Idk. I feel that at the end of the day, all Obamacare will do is fuck over the healthy people who are working but who can’t buy insurance through work – in other words, people who couldn’t afford to go to the doctor anyway, who now will have to cut back on preventative maintenance which helped keep them out of the doctor’s office in the first place. Then these people won’t be able to buy anything but the bare essentials, slowing economic growth and prolonging the recession.
