All of you are fucking stupid (jk)

Zykanthos (@chodebalm)8 years, 2 months ago

Now that I’ve gotten your attention because you took that statement personally (no, not all of you are stupid), I can move on to my point: WE’RE A SELFISH COUNTRY.

3 people die in the Boston bombings and the nation is in an uproar, the media is in a frenzy, and all of you people have your noses in your phones and TVs watching CNN for the latest entertainment info about the whereabouts of bombing suspect #2.

Yet no one gives a flying fuck about the thousands of innocent lives lost in air strikes and bombings in the Middle East because….OH THEY’RE ALL TERRORISTS OVER THERE!

Give me a fucking break. Your own government are terrorists. Terrorism comes in many different forms. Our government’s terrorism just happens to be in the form of bullying and invading “for the sake of freedom and homeland security”, not to mention their complete disregard for your personal privacy and the rights of the rest of the American people.

Apparently only American lives matter. Apparently human life elsewhere isn’t important enough to report about. Apparently war is okay, as long as it’s not here in the good ol’ U.S. of A.!

War is profitable. That’s why you’ll never hear the media condemning airstrikes, raids, and mass killings of people in other countries, because we’re just “protecting our freedoms!”

Now, many of you are going to think this is an anti-American rant. Go ahead and think that. That’s just another example of how your nationalistic mindset is fucked up and pathetic. You think in terms of nationalism, I think in terms of HUMANITY.

I put EARTH LIFE first. Earth came first, before America, before any country.

I am not saying the 3 lives lost in Boston are not a tragedy. They are. Whenever human lives are taken, it’s a tragedy. It’s fucked up. It’s evil. It’s unnecessary. So don’t get it twisted – I am not downplaying the importance of the lives lost in Boston.

However, we have a media bias which keeps people concerned with only their own security, keeps people in fear, and keeps people in a state of mind which apparently accepts war as just a normal part of life, as long as it’s not here.

Why the fuck is it okay for us to tolerate war and murder and death in other parts of the world, but not here? Are we not supposed to give a shit about other human beings?

War is profitable, and as long as it’s profitable, it’ll exist.

You can make a difference RIGHT NOW by not supporting the mainstream media anymore. Turn off your TVs. Get rid of cable. Turn to alternative news sources on the internet. Do your own research. Learn. Get out of your own bubble, your own comfort zone. Stop accepting war as an inevitable thing. Stop caring about only yourself and start having compassion and concern for every human being on the planet.

I love all of you. Peace.

The American news networks focused on America because they are AMERICAN! It’s a big deal when a terrorist attack occurs in the most secure, powerful country in the world. It shows that nobody is safe, no country can be unharmed.
You see a problem, go fucking do something about it, and quit complaining. It just makes you seem childish.

@iamdrugs, Seriously. I meant it the first time I said it and I still mean it – you have no clue what you’re talking about.

You really think I’m complaining? That’s how you see it? Because I see it as a way to spread awareness, ideas, and information, and to see how many like-minded people there are. The more an ideology spreads, the more power we have as a people. So you can continue to sit there and think I’m not doing anything about it. But you’re dead wrong.

The spreading of information and ideas is what gets the ball rolling.

Quit being a jackass.

WAIT… did you (a) finish highschool (b) finish collage (c) none of the above? All I hear is opinion, not fact. You need education mothafucka.

Zykanthos (4,757)M (@chodebalm) 8 years, 2 months ago ago

@halobman, You spelled high school wrong. It’s 2 words. It’s spelled “college,” not collage. A collage is something totally different.

And you tell ME that I need education? Lmao.

Ok. Go ahead and educate me, oh wise one.

@halobman, I am usually not one to burn people here, but if you wish to write a post like yours, make sure you use proper spelling and grammar. Also, everything he said is right on. You are the one who needs educated good sir.

@chodebalm, Good post brother. Glad to see other people on here who think the way I do. It is absolutely about spreading ideas in order to further motivate people. Simply ‘not complaining’ about it is the same as sitting back and watching all this happen passively. These words of yours need to be spoken. The more people see other people talking about it, the more it validates their own inner thoughts, thereby causing them to spread the word even further. This is how revolutions begin.

I was actually wondering this when everything started happening, and then a day later i see those pictures from syria expressing their concern for us because we experienced a day in their lives.

I agree with @halobman, most of what you said was opinion. You were ranting about it, not spreading information. Even if your intent was actually to spread information, you’re spreading it to a community that already knows and already agrees with you. It is almost literally “preaching to the choir.”
I’m not just trying to argue with you. I’m just trying to show you how your post appears to people who don’t agree with you. If you want to change people’s opinions, handle it without emotion, without opinion, and certainly without trying to gain attention for it by calling it “All of you are fucking stupid”. Because that is not how you maturely spread information.

@iamdrugs, “Because that is not how you maturely spread information.”
Who said the spread of information had to be “mature?” What does that even mean?

And notice, he also mentioned spreading awareness and ideas.

The title is what made most people come to this thread.

@iamdrugs, If you don’t like it, then don’t click on it or post anything about it. Simple as that. Or come up with your own way to spread ideas, thoughts, opinions. Doesn’t matter to me how you do it, just like it shouldn’t matter to you how I do it. You have a problem with it, that’s fine. Don’t partake it in then.

“Stupid” should be replaced with “ignorant”, because stupidity is falsely associated with a lack of potential.

@halobman, No…I really don’t. You didn’t even have a point. And are you really saying there are no facts in what I said? Because that simply isn’t true. Anyway, I’m not gonna argue with you over meaningless bullshit. No hate. Peace.

@manimal, So what you’re saying here is that your ASSUMPTION of who these people were and their limbs torn off all over the streets, is that they were all supporting war and regurgitating patriotic bullshit just because they stood on the sideline of a marathon. I see where you’re trying to go with this sir but your logic is skewed. And yes it’s a loss. Contrary to some peoples beliefs, though it is agreed by everyone with an actual independent mind that the Boston bombings have been completely sensationalized by the media, the Boston bombings still hold very strong news value. 1. Proximity – Most Americans never see these things happen in their home country which spends trillions of dollars on self-defense and military a year to “protect” its people. 2. Prominence – The United States of America is a world power and also a world power. If a similar incident were to happen in Russia, China, or the UK that was considered a terrorist attack you would be seeing very similar headlines but due to the absence of proximity, the news would then begin to fade off. 3. Conflict – This is a United States conflict in which the media outlets of the United States are reporting on because it concerns their nation. 4. Currency (Unfortunately) – Unfortunately the majority of the public is more concerned with the state of the Boston bombings and finding out what was behind the attacks on the United States.
That being said, I agree with a lot you’ve got to say about this @chodebalm. These are just the hard truths that we need to find a way to change and spreading the ideas is the right way, but in a negative light will only lead to losing our credibility in swaying the worlds knowledge. We may only overcome by acting

@chodebalm, I agree man 100%, now keep reading for a weird point of view.

@manimal, I fee similar in a way, playing devils advocate. Who says lives here are more important that those in other countries. Why do people here freak the fuck out when shit like this happens, its so common in other parts of the world. Shit its becoming a regular occurrence here. Take the Connecticut shootings for example; what if one or more of those kids was going to grow up to be serial killers or worse and bomb a building with hundreds or thousands of people in it. If we could have predicted the future of those kids maybe someone would be thanking Adam Lanza.

Its fucked up to think about but honestly we are all going to die someday, some sooner than others. Not all of us on here will live to see 30 or 40 or 50, whatever. Its really sucks that the world is this way and that there are so many sick fuckers out there, but honestly as a society, world wide, we only have ourselves to blame. We have wandered too far from out natural state of survival. We have progressed into a mindset that we are infinite or that some of us are better than others. We forget we all come from a womans vagina, from the same process (mostly).

I dont have some solution to the madness really. I wish things were perfect and that we could all live in communities growing food and having camp fires, making art and just living. Thats what we were intended for I think, not to work monotonous jobs, mind numbing jobs. We are better than we let ourselves believe and its a serious issue the whole world possesses. It is our egos I think that have led us to this point of seemingly endless was and famine, bus if we all believed in love for one another maybe we could fix this.

Hope that made all you readers think a little bit on a different perspective. Peace. Love. Good Vibes.
