Am I crazy?

kcbishop (@kcbishop) 8 years, 10 months ago

I have these vivid memories from being a cild and being able to do things, in my head..idk if thats even how u explain it…I remember in early elementary school, first im 25 and this is when we had these really tall poles to climb, would never pass safty code now but anyways…I remember being able to get to the top with my mind ,,,, and i know it sounds insane but it wasnt like I was aware of this ability( if it is or im just crazy)I dont even kno how to explain it.. I used to ..ugh go places…anyways now that I’m an adult.. I only have these memories… Another crazy thing is that I have de Ja Vu… often, ..I dont know if its just basic intuition or what… it gets to the point where it freaks me out…LAst major experience was when I got this “de Ja VU” 10 min later my boyfriend called saying his dad had passed away…I am a christian and just was looking for any insight or advice/answers…

@kcbishop, You mean you can envision something precisely before you actually do it, or you just get lost in daydreaming?

You say are a Christian, but have you ever looked into meditation? Your not crazy, but I guess it depends what your definition of crazy is! lol , Have you ever looked into -Out Of Body Experiences- Its possible that you were able to do this without knowing or noticing, your were young so you might not of understood it. Also maybe you should look into this intuition and De Ja Vu thing, personally I guess I would call myself more of a Buddhist or a Hindu, but I was born a Christian, and I actually believe in most religions. But I do believe in reincarnation, maybe your remembering a past life, or maybe you are indeed more intune – to this connected world we live in. Everything happens for a reason, most of us are blind to these little things being put into place everyday, maybe your just seeing it, without noticing :)

And as for the whole child thing, as kids i think we (and our minds) are open to so many incredible things, because we don’t know what they are yet, and we have never been told that they don’t exist. Imagine all the things you believe don’t exist, things you know or things you don’t tangably know about, but somewhere down the line got closed from that idea. Kind of like the idea of children seeing ghosts, and apparently when we grow up we loose the ability.

@kcbishop, There is a mechanism in your brain that causes things like nostalgia, you know when you taste or smell a food you had as a child and you get this sensation like a flood? It happens to me with movies and music but mostly from the smell, things like the crisp night air or the rain, flowers on a lemon tree, etc.
Anyway, dejavous is related to this mechanism and neuroscientists believe that it is small epileptic fits in this region of your brain and the result is you feel that it is a memory, something you have experienced before, but in reality it is just a malfunction of this “nostalgia” part of the brain because of a small seizure.
You should tell your doctor about this but it probably isn’t anything too alarming, it is very common.

Out of body experiences are totally normal. Thats what your childhood experience sounds like. Nothing bad or evil hun, just the wonders of our brain. If you daydream enough, you could have lucid dreams. I get de ja vu alot! I know theres various theories behind de ja vu but for me personally, Im a heavy dreamer so I know alot of the de ja vu that hits me originated in my dreams. Always remember, a crazy person would never suggest theyre crazy ;)

I do sometimes.. My mom is passing away from advanced stage cancer and has made me me question more, my dad and grandfather have told me stories of similar things I feel.. I don’t kno whether I should pursue anymore about how to understand or even use these ‘gifts’ as people I’ve confided to about this..

Say , because I kno the bible says don’t believe in soothe Sayers … So I’m embarrassed by things I feel and know without having a reason to kno random crazy things.,,what’s even scarier is , most all my intuitions come to be

“Am I crazy?” – @kcbishop,

“I am a christian” – @kcbishop,

There, you answered your own question. The answer is yes…

Simple.

Having Deja vu is common, your mind going places is common, being freaked out is common.
Just pay attention, and embrace it all. It’s fine.

That religion thing though… you really should do something about that.
