My life’s dream is to backpacking around the world, be a “Bugdet Backpacker”, that’s what I REALLY want in my life, I told this to my family and everybody said that I’m crazy, that “backpacking” is just for lazy people who don’t want to have a job, etc.
I’ve read a lot of backpacking blogs and I have a lot of information about this, and yes, I WANT THIS, but, “there’s a problem” my grandma says that is my obligation to take care of my dad, and she says that if I go backpacking, my dad will go to an Old people’s home, also that I will >fail< in life.
What should I do? I really want to travel.
Am I right Or am I wrong?
@oso96, In the end everyone is responsible for their own lives, however I think it is important to take into consideration the things your grandma mentions. Family is important as well.
In the end you have to decide what you think is more important and make a consideration to choose something you totally support. Talk with people, form your opinion and listen to your gut feeling.
I try to do with my life what I want to do and what I think I should do, but I take into consideration other factors as well, because I do not believe the world revolves around me.
