This is awesomeeeee.
I have pondered lots of the points mentioned, but this was written very well.
“Even when you love in response to my phony behavior, I cannot really receive your love. It is poisoned by my knowledge that the love is for the image I have created, not for me.”
Honesty with others as well as self-honesty are extremely beneficial in my opinion. I feel like many people forget to be honest with themselves and so they let others dominate a part of who they are instead. The last person we should ever try to fool is ourselves.
