im starting a moon tincture soon with white rose and id love some advice on fermenting locations (its cold in WI), how to dry the buds, planetary hours (any good reference sites? i dont really understand them) or moon specific exercises that could produce lighter ash. moon is my controlling planet so id love to make her worthy tincture.
@triplemind, I wouldn’t actually use erowid, maybe for specific tips
Honestly you could just google it, but I think the most honorable thing is that you go with what inspires you and make it personal. As long as the attitude is reverent, I don’t think the moon would care. Maybe add some moon rock bits, add some anointing oil that works well with your intention and the moon directly, and herbs. What are you trying to do anyway?
Personally, what I found inspiring was the idea of fashioning your OWN special anointing oil for a ritual or intent 8) You can do this with lavender and vanilla bean and rose and almost anything else really easily, just google it.
The important part is to just do things with thought, with integrity, and if you can do it with inspiration and creativity added that would be a lovely icing on the cake. I’m sure it would just tickle her.
@heedthem, yeah that site seemed off. im trying to manifest potential psychic energy and influence of narrowed perspectives to encourage a healing of our waters use. not the abusing of water some humans cause but our misunderstanding of its power. could i ask what your planet is? you are very helpful.
I always thought alchemy was the old science that tried to turn iron to gold and all that? The “science” that invented booze, spawned the eleysian mysteries, and created mystical experiences from plant use that eventually turned into chemistry?
I am not much of an alchemist, maybe you can inform me on planets and what not?
*I mean, I get the hermetic tradition of *you* being the universe and instead of altering the world around you, you alter your consciousness to get the desired effects. But aside from that, I’m pretty much a noob.
I LOVE this essay, (as all of Crowley’s essays towards truth)
Read that man. The universe explained via love/poetry. You might suggest checking out Aldous Huxley/Robert Anton Wilson/Tim Leary/Terence McKenna as well. All great sorcerers in their own right.
