Are demons, ghosts, spirits, etc… real?

I’ve always wondered if there really are any of these, but its hard to know for sure. What makes me somewhat believe in them is my earliest memory that i can recall, of me having a really bad nightmare and i awoke to a tall shadowy figure standing over my crib (I was either 3 years old, 4 at the oldest) and so i crawled out of it (I was a good climber) and walked to my parents room (when they were together) and snuck in between them trying to tell them what I was seeing, as it followed me to their room, standing at the end of the bed. They were too tired to be woken up, so I just stayed there closing my eyes and hoping to fall back asleep.

Now I know you may think this was a dream but I know for sure that it wasnt, its too clear to only be a dream especially considering how long ago it was. Im not saying this is definite proof either but its just really weird to me, and im curious if anyone else has had similar experiences, perhaps more intense than mine.

Theres always the possibility it was all in my head, of course.

There are different definitions you can run through of the so called supernatural; ghosts are the disembodied soul of a human, and this could exist in a number of state, according to lore, such as;

The normal person but often this becomes frustrated with being unable to communicate, either with a loved one(s) they refuse to leave, or one or a number of people they single out to deliver a message. It is said their frustration goes to anger, and anger is a powerful emotion that can often pierce the veil, but the ghost can lose their humanity in doing so.

Then there is the 6th Sense ghosts who are unaware they are dead and live a normal life constructed of their own fantasy, they are not seeking to communicate and are pretty much not listening to anything either.

Then there is stuff like Death Echoes, where they are trapped in a loop of varying time intervals, usually reliving their moments of passing. But I personally do not believe in ghosts, I think people just cease to exist.

Then you can get into Angels, Spirits and Demons; these are all basically the same race, from the benevolent Angels, the passive Spirits and to the malevolent Demons, but contrary to beliefs, none of these were ever human and they are not at war with each other. Angels do good and Demons do bad, but neither of them see each other as doing good or bad, they just do what they do and don’t judge each other for it, it is only human perspective that would see their works as either good or bad. In this sense, an Angel may perform Demonic works and not even be aware of it, and visa versa.

Spirits being more passive, they do not perform works but give comfort or presence, maybe eerie feelings and such. But the thing is not to confuse them as human, they never were, it is this that are said to approach through Ouija boards claiming to be famous dead people or relatives, and the deception can run as deep as reading your mind.

I am more inclined to believe in these energy alien beings (Angels, Spirits, Demons) to some degree, maybe not quite on the level that lore holds them capable of, they would only have some subtle influence, but I don’t believe in ghosts, not the human dead, but I may entertain temporal anomalies projecting spectral form of the departed.

Very interesting stuff, something ill have to look into more. I feel like there may be a “Death Echoe” spirit living in my house atm because a long time ago my 2 friends said they saw a native or chinese girl in my sisters window, knowing it wasnt my sister and they told me but I never thought much of it. Then a few years later my sisters friend and I are having a conversation when she brings up a time where she also saw a native girl in my sisters window which was very strange… I stay up late a lot and there are always creeking sounds going on upstairs (where my sisters room is) which I usually attribute to the house just being that way, but it makes me wonder. Also, theres a lot of times where it feels like im being watched especially at night, could be the fact that im starting to look into stuff like this haha.

I’ve even considered the possibility of it being a demon, because my sister, the one who lives in that room has been depressed a lot of her life and i’ve seen her have a crazy panic attack not too long ago that made it seem like she was literally possessed, whats even stranger is this happened on christmas eve at a church. She was sitting beside me with her head in her lap the whole time and i had no idea what was going on with her or how to help her, she said there were too many people and that was causing her to have a panick attack, so I told her to try and calm down in the bathroom and see if that helps. She stayed hidden for the rest of the mass and we couldnt find her till my mom texted her, then when we found her she was crying/hyperventalating and screaming for absolutely no reason saying we left her. Now by this point she wouldnt get in the car and my mom said she might have to call an ambulance (what others around were suggesting) and she screamed even more yelling no and ran into the car to grab her bag then ran away. No one knew what to do, she stayed at a friends for the night.

I wish there was something I could do, because she doesnt seem to want any help at all, so im at a loss

There are also cases where the minds of living people can project imagery, sounds and sometimes telekinetic activity, often without realising it. A lot of supernatural cases are coming from the living, not the dead or otherworldly.

I’ve had similar experiences of seeing ghost when I wake up too. After further analysis I somewhat attribute them to hallucination associated with sleep/astral paralysis because my experiences closely resembles those descriptions. With that said though, I don’t fully believe they were just hallucinations. Each time it happen it didn’t feel like I was in paralysis. I could move just fine. On 2 occasions I hurried up and pulled my cover over my head; wasn’t scared, just a little surprised :) But when I looked again to see if they were still there, they were gone, so yea.

The last time this happen was actually a couple weeks ago. I was waking up because my alarm was going off. Right as I opened my eyes, about 2 feet in front of me there was this red and black orb thing. Looked like the size of a tennis ball. It was cool because it kept shape shifting into these different patterns and shapes. It was slowly hovering to the side. I thought to myself wtf? I wanted to keep staring at it, but needed to turn my alarm off. I knew right when I flipped my cellphone over to turn it off that orb would disappear, and it did. Probably an hallucination, but I still wonder about it.

Regardless though, I still consider ghost and spirits as being “real”. There’s a ton of evidence out there that would suggest their existence – some being legit, others not of course. If you ever start to research mediums who claim to interact and communicate with ghost, such as James Van Praagh, you might find yourself actually believing that these people are actually channeling dead spirits. Praagh for example has had many people, including celebrities, vouch his psychic abilities. I actually picked up his book “Ghost Among Us” from the library and am reading it. He has a lot of fascinating stories and experiences in here. He gives in-depth descriptions of the different types of ghost, explains why they’re hear on earth, and talks about the spiritual dimensions a little – all from his perspective of course. But yea, pretty interesting stuff.

Yeah its definitely hard to know if its a hallucination or actually there, I just know my experience must’ve been pretty significant for me to remember so clearly so long ago, since thats really the only memory i have of my father (my parents seperated when I was 3 or so) so its just really weird. I wouldnt mind knowing more about them because it would help if I happened to encounter a demon and would be able to access the situation with more certainty.

I got fucked with by things as a kid also, either the thing about them liking to absorb kids energy most is true, or its the thing about how as you grow up we lose more and more cone things in our eyes… I don’t know though to be honest.
If your sister became possessed by a demon, or demons, watch out for a personality change in her. The demons personality seems to integrate into the persons mind and it becomes hard to tell if what sick stuff you start getting into is actually you or an entity? But through art and writings seemingly subconsciously will be clues of knowing things are in you trying to take more control.

Eastern religions would argue that these things should be confided with. That they are guiding voices. We tend to focus on the positive and scorn the negative.
