Are desires wrong?

In a recent Q&A session, Paramahamsa Nithyananda answered the question “Are desires wrong?” I love the clarification he gave about the wrong cognition that many spiritualists hold, which creates conflict and only ties us down more to the ego.

Hehe that accent, can’t help putting a smile on my face :-)

But yes, it makes good sense that we should try to dissolve conflicting desires so that we can focus our energy in one direction.. I’ve always found it quite true what Alan Watts said about “Desiring to not desire, is still desiring..”
