Anyone else heard about it? Long story short, treasure hunters found a large, weird looking disk 60 feet beneath the seabed…The sonar image they got looks like the millennium falcon from Star Wars. The crew recently went back to the site about a year after they originally found it and since June 1st have been in the process of examining/excavating the mysterious object.
The crew has a website that has been giving constant updates the past couple of days, and the last one recorded on June 6 said, “The divers are now down and investigating the circle and reports from the ship say they are really amazed. There is definitely something unusual hiding at the seabed.” http://www.oceanexplorer.se/
It’s been three days since the most recent update…and apparently now both Russia and America are racing warships and high-tech salvage vessels to the site to claim the ‘alien spacecraft’ http://www.pakalertpress.com/2012/06/09/russia-america-race-to-retrieve-alien-spacecraft/
To sum it all up…that shit cray. I predict the whole thing will be extremely downplayed in the media and the ‘Men in Black’ will do one of those memory erase flashes to the members of the crew.
Sounds like a movie I’ve been seeing in previews..
The ET/UFO cry rings deaf on my ears these days. Interesting discovery, but too hyped up. I learned in Anthropology that civilization was always formed near a coast and that over thousands of years the coastlines have receded greatly. 90% of our human history and remains are presently located under water and undocumented.
I think we’re just beginning to explore the unknown, but to jump to sources outside earth or the solar system… /yawn. I also learned that research teams sometimes hype up or completely fabricate discoveries just for the fame and $$.
@petergd, As Enter Shikari says in a song called “Mothership”
“I just fell from that Mothership
They said that
Your answers, were always lying on the ocean bed”
We want to go. Explore space, cross that frontier but yet…we’ve hardly explored the ocean. We haven’t even explored 10% of the whole ocean depths yet. There is no doubt in my mind there are many things in the water or the ocean bed that can tell us a lot. How easily they must have been forgotten over time, though!
If there were any real chance this were a UFO, the very special government people would’ve been on top of this long ago – shame, but it’ll be something easily explained and then we’ll go back to looking upwards for the first visit. Time is so long and vast that it’d be pretty staggering to think relatively close-by civilisations existed around the same time to go see one another – there has been countless life and there will be countless more in future, but finding neighbours at the same time is a long-shot. If it’s a UFO, i’ll eat my car.
So after forgetting about this whole incident for a little while, I decided to google it and found some intriguing reports…
@mercurial, I’m not sure, since the interference only occurs near the craft I doubt the government has anything to do with it. But if it turns out to be something extraordinary, I hope we aren’t kept in the dark about it.
The ‘runway’ definitely raises suspicion, like you said, because for something to leave an impression in the Earth of that length takes a ridiculously large amount of force.
@mercurial, More likely, either the US or Russian government pulled a quickie and took the craft during the span of time in which they were both conducting “military exercises” at that exact spot. During these ‘exercises’ the governments did not allow the Ocean Explorer team anywhere near the finding site.
@galactimus, I’m not sure…They originally told the public that all they found down there was a very odd pattern rocks. I definitely think there is more too it than that. One of the articles I posted said they believe one of the rocks has hieroglyphic-style inscriptions on it…the article also goes on to say that it is the biggest discovery in the history of UFO research.
Yeah, I read the articles that you posted, even though the second one was extremely stupid, in my opinion. I wish there was more information because this sounds really intriguing as to what they find they down there. Hopefully there is more to come, or SOMETHING close to it
