"Be Still! One Cannot Find Himself, Who Keeps Moving Himself."
Quit bustling about. Sit still for a second. Just think to yourself. You don’t have to be appreciative. You don’t have to be angry either. Just be. See what the silence is all about. Let your mind wander. Listen to your heart pulsate. Engross your senses with the stimuli of your surroundings. Relationships abound. Notice them. Befriend them. Play with them. Wrestle with the uncertainties. Laugh at nothing. Smile in the face of the unknown. Entangle yourself in the tension. Familiarize yourself with the realms of discontent. Escape from them without forgetting about them. You will return. Time and time again you will return. Make maps. Scatter them. You will pass by others. Greet them no matter your state. Share with them. Indulge in the commonalities. Weave together the differences. Build monuments atop each other’s shoulders. Remain under the weight. Contemplate the burden. Sink into the soil. Create an imprint.
Whoosh! Needed that. Beautifully written. Message received.
Forgot to mention that the quote masquerading as the title belongs to a friend of mine, one Steven Deeds. He is quite the philosopher in his own right, and I encourage you all to check out his myriad offerings (he happens to be a musician as well as a thinker).

@blankey, Man, that means so much. To know that my words have resounded in a mind other than my own. Thank you for disclosing this bit with me. The feedback is always inspiring.
And if you were to go through with that, do let me know. I’ll cover the cost of supplies ;)
