Some People are old at 18 and some are you at 90, time is a concept that humans created.”
Unfortunately, every day, I engage with people who act as if the energy and youthfulness of their childhood is behind them. But the idea that maturity’s entrance means the exit of youthfulness couldn’t be further from the truth.
The body may age but the mind only develops. The human mind, your mind, is under YOUR control. This means that it is your choice everyday too either cecum to the mentality of a zest-less life or live life with the same energetic love that many feel they’ve lost.
Choose energy. Choose fun. Choose youth!
Wrinkles will come and our bodies will break down, that decline we cannot control. We can, however, control the decline or incline of our minds. Just because society says that the number of years you have accumulated on this planet should go hand in hand with a script of how you “should” act does not mean they’re correct, actually they couldn’t be further from the truth.
Time is a concept that humans created to schedule and track the events of the day. By leaving your youth behind and adopting the accepted idea of how a person your age should act you’re basically saying that you’re perfectly fine allowing those who have come before you to tell you how to act and when to act that way.
That is a sure fire way to loose yourself. Take the status quo with a grain of salt.
Embrace and sustain youth! No matter what your number may be.
I’m 28 and I still act like I’m 12, just in the sense of how much wonder and awe and appreciation I have for the world and the universe and so many other things people take for granted. Even my girlfriend has told me, “You just don’t take things seriously.”
And she’s right – I don’t. I’m one mood, all the time, and life is easy to me. I don’t get stressed out or bothered about all the shit other adults get bothered about. It’s very difficult for some people to live a happy, easy life. They say that being an adult carries many obligations and responsibilities and that life isn’t always fun. But I’m thankful that I’ve always been able to maintain a level head and an appreciation for life that allows me to live happily and as stress free as possible, and honestly, life is fun for me every day.
Thanks for sharing this.
