Best psychoactive plants to grow indoors?
I’ve been looking into growing some psychedelic plants for spiritual experiences.
However, I am not really sure on what would be the best plant to grow, I’ve been looking into Cacti and I will grow a peyote.
What are your guys opinions on this? Ever had any experiences with Peyote? Let me know if you guys think of any better alternatives.

I did have an experience with San Pedro. Those are relatively fast growers, and like all cacti they don’t need much. Salvia Divinorum needs water almost everyday, and so does Hawaiian baby woodrose. Iboga doesn’t need as much water daily, but it does need to acclimatise to a more arid environment, which takes alot of time. Iboga grows quite slowly.
It all depends on how often you’d like to maintain them to say what’s best for you.
As mentioned already you’ll be waiting a few years before your Peyote would be large enough to harvest from. But they’re super easy to care for so there’s no reason not to start some.

These guys have two varieties of peyote. I got about 50% germination rate with them and have about a dozen now the size of a raisin. I was also given a foot tall San Pedro last year which has pretty much doubled in size just by sitting outside.
Mushrooms are a pretty good investment of effort for reward. You just need a pressure cooker and a few other supplies. They’re really fun to grow and fun to eat.
I started some Iboga and Mimosa Hostilis seeds last year too. Both take years of growth before their roots can be harvested. I’m still pretty noob at growing plants though so these both died from root problems and lack of light.
My suggestion though would be growing some cannabis. Especially if you already use cannabis regularly, it’s the plant I felt most connected to growing successfully. There’s way more information and specialized equipment out there for growing marijuana than any of the other psychedelics. And if you’re lucky it may even be legal. With enough of an investment you can grow stuff in your closet just as good as the dispensary. I spent $1500 on a setup this summer and just harvested enough quality bud to last me a year. And I learned so much about growing plants in the process that I feel I’ll be much more successful now when I try growing Iboga, Mimosa, or other psychedelics.
