The ways we define ourselves are myriad. We use words, we use art, we use the ways we walk or talk or sing or scream. But all of these outward expressions stem from how we think of ourselves inside, like the picture we paint for others is a rough copy of our mental self-portraits. By thinking of ourselves in certain ways, in terms of race or social class or religion, do we limit how others can see us? By defining ourselves, do we define society?
