Breakdance Yoga

Subwoofer Stevens (@jakehay) 8 years, 10 months ago

Recently I’ve been doing break yoga. It combines the basic elements of breakdancing (popping-locking, windmills, freezes, electric boogaloos) and merges them effortlessly into yogic asanas.

I do this every morning and my chakras are instantly aligned mad styles. The feeling of popping out of a tortoiseshell and straight into an inverted tittibhasana (firefly pose) is unreal.

I highly recommend it for anyone looking to unleash some major enlightened thought on their inner b-boy.

@jakehay, whoa, that sounds really awesome, where’d you find out about this?

@jakehay, hah I do something like this after a workout and I’m really happy and there is music.

Have you heard of acro yoga? I want to do it!

@hlalhabattu, Just around the scene, you know, I’ve been breaking for years and started getting into yoga as well. Got introduced to break yoga that way.

@anjelica, Never heard of it, but it looks awesome.

How long you been break dancing and popping?

I’m just getting started into popping in general, I’m at the bottom of the barrel at the moment.

Can you explain how break yoga work? I’ll be on to breakdance once I master popping and freezes.

Yes I’m interested in this because b-boying is natural to those who want to do yoga but don’t know how. They do all sorts of yoga without being consciously aware of it.
