@ijesuschrist, So you are saying that all the products that have resulted from Capitalism render any arguments against it as hypocritical? Not really, Capitalism was a very useful method for progress over the last 300 years, but it has its used-by date.
Unfortunately at this stage of development, especially technologically, capitalism starts to become counter progressive, well it has been descending into a counter progressive state over the last 10 years or so.
We have options and it doesn’t involve us changing in our dopey nature, it only involves the evolution of organisation, how tech revolutionises that logistical arena. As for us, we can openly contribute in new ways, some times without even realising or intending to.
@ijesuschrist, I wouldn’t tell to the guy who’s doing that to stop though.
Maybe the stupid people he’s complaining about while being stupid himself will read him and actually stop being stupid (I use the word ‘stupid’ only for the sake of my example, no judgement here), eventually making him the only stupid person left in the world. Then he won’t have anything to complain about but himself and he’ll have no choice but to start following the road to self-realization.
Now the problem is when there’s only stupid people, and they’re all complaining about how everybody’s stupid.
@ijesuschrist I mean I guess I also don’t think capitalism’s stupid so it wouldn’t be cognitive dissonance. I think the way it’s implemented in America is paltry and could do to be tweaked with a little more socialist ideal. If I really hated capitalism that much I’d just leave the country.
My cognitive dissonance is that I hate Apple products and still use an iPhone.
Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Nazism – they’re all 20th century constructions from one and the same originators segregating the world into camps. Money and its system of monetary conversion stems from the same bag.
Fortunately the world is changing rapidly as it keeps moving into the 21st century. Humanity has globalised, the world has shrunk – this has led to a growing awareness we need to look after Earth, which in turn will lead to changes in how we do things. The important thing is, we will all be free of thought – no longer constraint by social constructs.
A world awaits! :)
