“Be wise today so you don’t cry tomorrow.” – E.A. Bucchianeri
Admit it. You have your own bit of philosophy you hold on to, we all do. In my case, my “cool” friends would find it cheap or inessential, often times “tacky”. Either they are embarrassed to admit it or they don’t get the point of keeping one.
This particular philosophy by E.A. Bucchianeri has been very helpful for me (as a college student) in ways unlooked-for. It served as a constant reminder that kept me away from countless decisions that I might probably regret taking. This piece of philosophy constructed who I am and where I am now.
How about yours?
When I was 15 I began to think deeply in a larger scale about life, people and universe.Through philosophy, sciences, religions, mythologies and people’s stories I learned about many ideas and Life Philosophies that directed the lives of many. Influenced by those ideas I worked them out in my head and sometimes tried them in life.Althought all of them proved to be very useful and practical, none was actually fit for me to adopt for a lifetime.
So throughout the years until now(I’m 19), I’ve been shaping a personal Life Philosophy. It’s not of course in a clear and final shape, nor is it the ultimate truth, but it’s something that can be observed in humans, in nature, in the entire universe(?).
So,this is the idea: Balance
What does that mean?
For me it’s the coexistence of night and day, of man and woman,of two opposites at the same time etc. There are a lot of examples to come up with.
What’s your opinion?
I definitely agree. I am a year younger than you are and it’s been the same, I’ve not (only) kept one philosophy for it wouldn’t suffice. I am eager to hear more from your concept of Balance, then I may give a proper opinion.
