Does Anyone actually like their job?

I’m planning to go to college next year and I’m still not sure what i want to major in. I here a lot of complaints about people who hate their jobs either on the internet or in person. It would be nice to hear from people who like most aspects of their job. Obviously it’s work but I’d like to hear some positivity for once!

i love my job. im an actor and i literally get paid stupid amounts of money to play pretend. like when we was kids?! cowboys, indians, dinosaurs… yeah. i get paid to do that now. and its incredibly rewarding. every time i work on a new film or show or whatever i get to become another person. i get to see/ hear/ taste/ touch the world through them. i mean really its me, which is even cooler because it means im exploring all these parts of myself that i wouldnt have normally.

dude, if you want to become a doctor/ lawyer/ accountant then by all means go to college. or if you dont know what you want to do but you love to learn, go anyway. take a million random courses in things you never heard of. maybe youll find your passion. because nothing sucks more than wasted time, plus the social experience of going to college is something that will help you in more ways than you can imagine.

however, theres also nothing wrong with taking a year off, traveling, exploring, figuring out a little bit of what the fuck you want to do with your life before you spend 50,000 on a year of gen ed classes.

thats what i did, and i love my job :)

hope that helps

peace and love my friend

I’m lucky, I attained a disability and now I write random shit on the internet and work on my fiction novels, completely happy with my work.

I’m a phd student in plant biology. I have my ups and downs. I like learning, but sometimes I find I need to force myself and then it becomes very rewarding. I don’t plan on using my degree after i’m done though. I’m only doing this cause I get paid to use expensive equipment, synthesize molecules, and learn from some of the most dedicated people in my field.

After I’m done I’d like to open a brewery or a greenhouse (or both).

I studied exercise science and I am now a personal trainer, I love the job. Its something that is continuously growing and I have to keep learning more to stay ahead of the curve. It is also very rewarding to change peoples lives, Its also a good time to help enlighten people :)

I had no idea that this was the path I was going to go down, I took random classes in fields that I thought I might be interested in until I found one that just clicked. I would recommend doing something similar, it just worked for my sister as well. Know every major your school has to offer, make a list, and highlight ones you might have an interest in!

Also, what you think you might do now is most likely not what you will end up doing. So keep exploring!

I’m a bartender. Love it. It has nothing to do with anyone else’s perspective man.. one person is going to enjoy something that you don’t and so on and so forth.. Find something you can accept and or enjoy doing.. no one is going to tell you that anything is better than anything else.. that’s their answer. Go out and find it.

Listen, man. Every job has its ups and downs. Don’t make the illusion there’s this 1 job. But hey who am i? I think the right colleagues is more important than the job itself.
