Does anyone else think that it would awesome if there was a way to get some type of section on high existence to foster a way to meet like minded individuals and/or relationship with spiritually awakened people. It could have a questionnaire that builds upon the current profile we have on here. I don’t propose it go to much into detail (like some full blown relationship site like eharmony), for that we can let the people decide what and how they want to proceed. Simply provide a means for people to make themselves know to others that are like-minded in terms of a similar level of consciousness and awareness of the deeper aspects of the world. I know that it challenging to “find my tribe” of people especially if I move to a new area. This could be a great way to create new communities of individual who actually live close but are simply unaware that they are in such close proximity to such others.
I feel like this should be a thing but not on this site.
I think if it was the only context of the site that it would succeed but if you added an extra feature for it on top of the rest it would be too dispersed.
Yes.. I agree Jelica.. My only concern is that actually, if it was a little hidden, it might make for a more condensed experience.
In that more real people would actually end up there. Rather than craigslist or dating sites where you have thousands of fake profiles, scams etc.
So I see what you mean, I just reckon perhaps the dispersed aspect might be helpful in making it a bit more…… filtered. Lol.
Less of the riff rafff more of the quality.
Well.. that’s my viewpoint on this.
We used to have a HEthens interactive map but idk how up-to-date that is nor whether it’s still a possibility with 70,000+ users these days.
@martijn regarding formatting, would it be possible to potentially have a side bar a la reddit or a ‘start here’ page with some megathreads on topics that come up frequently (like the introductions thread, or the threads on music/drawing) and perhaps also a couple links to uplifting, motivating articles to maybe intervene before the daily ‘i feel sad’ thread is posted? I realise that that is what the tags are for but i feel like people aren’t utilising the search feature to the best of it’s abilities. Just a thought.
Those are great ideas and we will have to find a way to incorporate them in the new version of HE.
We spend tons of energy in this version, and honestly, it seems to have failed badly. Navigation etc. just went harder. Now we’re designing something else completely that should increase value for everyone.
We should definitely have a overview page with the ‘best of HE’. It’s on my to-do list now!
I can imagine it would be rough – I know how much energy the entire HE team invested into this version BUT i have absolute faith in you guys to pull through and rise up. Awesome to hear that you’re already working on it! Give me a shout if you need a hand with anything. x
Jeffrey Dahmer’s ghost!!!!!!!
I’ll always be afraid to meet people who have taken more drugs than me. Are you kidding? Who knows what kind of nuts are lurking around High Existence. I know my own nuttiness, but nothing about the thousands of them around here. It’s a pretty good point, if you ask me.
Yo Karsten. Check out Meetup.com.
That one’s pretty good!!
Well.. Really good. I hope it’s in America, where I assume you’re based.
I’d just take into consideration that everything takes time.. I’m looking for a community etc but I am pretty impatient lol, I wouldn’t be surprised if I would find somewhere and then get bored and leave again. So bear that in mind..??!!
I love this idea. Ideas similar have been proposed in the past. I think that maybe categorizing by location is good. Kind of like the Chive does. It all started as a blog and now a big worldwide community of people that are all about spreading love and kindness and helping others. Oh and they also love themed days but thats besides the point. They are organized on facebook by area and its a great way for people to get together and hang out. I hope that we can get something going. Until then, anyone reading this in California should message me so we can possibly link up :)
So yeah it seems there’s some backing for this and that’s awesome. Even at a base we could get an alphabetized list (maybe a few columns) of locations that people have entered in on their profile here so that we could see who is around us and if they want to meet up.
