Does anybody here produce music with FL Studio regularly?
I personally use pro logic 9, it’s so much fun
This type of software is a blast and even though they all cost around $100 it’s money well spent for sure
I’ve been making Trap music with FL studio for about 6 months. Now, I’m nowhere near professional, I just do it for fun, but i still love getting feedback from it. If anyone wants to check my tracks my soundcloud is https://soundcloud.com/symbiosa
P.S. I’d love to hear other HEthen’s music as well! Link your Soundcloud/music pages!
@mwinship13, like someone else said, Pro logic is awesome for electronic music. It has a build in application called “ultra beat” which lets you stack various sounds (drums, synths, samples etc.) and it’s pretty much a virtual midi pad where u can assign everything to a certain spot. FL studio is pretty sweet, but I personally think the layout and user-friendly-ness of Pro Logic is better in my opinion.
You could spend multiple hours on drums alone, and it’s so damn fun once you tweak effects and discover new sounds, not to mention there’s a ton of tutorials on YouTube to help you start
I use FL studio almost exclusively. I love the step sequencer, and the way the sequencer handles MIDI is phenomenal, especially with the native synths. And those synths, damn some of them are fucking fantastic. Sytrus, Toxic, Harmor, those are my favourites. Sytrus especially.
And the PEQ2 is an amazing EQ, especially considering how most of its equivalents cost upwards of 50 times as much.
Edison also has some really great tools in it, and the noise reduction works unusually well.
Mastering though, that’s something the native plugs aren’t very good for. But whatever, there’s plenty of good stuff out there for that purpose. And mastering your own tracks is not such a good idea anyway.
Watch out for the FL tutorials on youtube though, they teach a lot of shit that’s really really bad. Especially the trap and dubstep stuff, but that’s to expect, since that’s where the 14 year olds are playing.
