Free Rice: the easiest way to be generous

My friend told me about this website. Basically, you play games like naming artists of paintings or the english translation of a word in another language or choose the correct synonym, lotsa stuff in many different categories. Each time you choose the correct answer, 10 grains of rice are donated through the United Nations World Food Programme to end hunger. If you’ve got 10 minutes to kill, this is a great way to do it. I have no affiliation with the UN World Food Programme or freerice.com, I’d just like to share this with you all. 10 grains of rice doesnt seem like a lot but it adds up.

Yeah, this is really great! I spent like, 10 minutes on the multiplication tables and got up to 3000 donated. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t understand things like this. Why don’t they just donate a shit ton of rice to begin with?

@krkrich greed perhaps. They likely generate 3x more revenue from your input and clicks on their website than they spend on rice. They’re just farming the human compassion market.
