How craving for perfection screws up your life!

I’ve seen people stopping computer games in between, after having gotten not enough points, after hitting the obstacle and losing ‘health’ or after having performed ‘good’ where they could have been PERFECT and scored those bonus points as well. These people stop the game right there, and start over. The striking similarities between ‘Life’ and a power packed game had been mentioned often too, with just one distinction; that you can’t just simply start over.

It has occurred to me several times that death ,for some people, is a closure. It is the neat full stop they can put at the end of the clumsy, incomprehensible sentence they couldn’t complete ; and they don’t believe that adding some beautiful words to this sentence can’t make it any better. Unfortunately life is not a game of’Super mario’ with more lives in stock to spare. Whatever be your sentence, how much ever ugly it is, it’s your only chance to pen down something. So never, ever, put a full stop unless you’ve conveyed the meaning of your sentence- the purpose of your life.

Ya well said. I think perfection has it’s time and place and people over emphasize it’s importance.  Dating comes to mind when I think of this but also in the work field. It means a lot to me to just get the job done personally. I value anyone that puts the effort to play the game to the end.
