how to contact spirit guides?

For the past two months before I completely fall asleep I try to stay aware of the images that start coming together behind my eyelids but I always black out. I have 90% lucid dreams but I never remember what I’m trying to do in them. I also have been forgetting most of my dreams the last half year when I could remember each and every one of them the morning after. Does anybody have any tips on connecting with guides and on tuning into dreams better, and maybe any theories as to why I’m all of a sudden not able to clearly remember them the next day? Thanks and please be nice.

‘When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.’
It’s important to realise, you’re both the student and the teacher.
Once you’re aware of this, you’ll be aware of the constant dialogue between the student and the teacher inside you. It’s more of an experience, rather than literally having some guide explaining to you what it all means, but you’ll definitely know when you’ve found your inner guide. To me the key is effortless effort, you’ll have to reprogramm the way you’re mind deals with information. This isn’t gonna happen overnight, so to prevent frustration, find yourself a way to work on it daily, without feeling like you do. Consistency is essential. Don’t push towards a goal (like having lucid dreams), rather enjoy the process as it happens, everything else will follow.
Anyway, I’m not an expert, so good luck/have fun exploring your path.

Only for sufficiency will the gears of change turn. There’s a dark room in the temple, wait there, and the master will find you. Know thy self.

The study of Symbology is one of the best things that I can think of to help connect with the subconscious mind. It uses symbols to try to show us things, so it’s best to know it’s language in order to make a better connection.

Try using a dream journal which is best used within around 30mins after you wake up but id try and doit straight away, do recalls of your day and try to recall your dream from the night before. See if these techniques help

@vrsusvrus your spirit guides lay in waiting, the important thing is having a commitment to the spirit and an openness to follow it in some capacity, to put things into capacity, I just met mine a few months ago after being on the spiritual path for 3 years. MY greatest suggestion to you would be to not stress the search as whatever guide wishes to present themself/themselves will do so of their own accord and when THEY feel you are ready to be guided in the manner they wish to guide you.

that said, having a ritual helps keep you in the receptive mindset so that you can be contacted, so to speak. I, for instance, met my spirit guide while doing my monthly ancestral healing ritual back in July, which was my second month doing so you’ll be found in time, man, just don’t stress yourself trying to find them. and as for remembering dreams, the journal method is really the most effective tool you have at doing so, if not the only worthwhile one.
